It is where one can sail on the winds of music and movement to regions of the body, mind and spirit as yet uncharted. Every Monday night at 7 pm we have a transformational dance, a free form dance that loosely explores different ideas, like letting go of your beliefs for a moment, or finding what it is like to move in different ways and how that may expand your awareness of self, or what does "moving from your center" mean. The list is as infinite as movement is. It is also a space for other dancers, choreographers, actors, martial artists: anyone who is interested in using the space for transformational processes to consider home, and you are welcome to approach me about space usage for workshops or personal use. La Camara del Nautilus es un "barco" en cual se puede navigar las brisas de la musica y los movimientos a los regiones hasta ahora desconocido. ✨ This week at The Nautilus Chamber, we’re proud to showcase the work of our current artist-in-residence, Hannah McCarthy. Visiting us from Nashville, TN, Hannah has created two powerful dance-theater works during her time in San Miguel: Cáscaras, a group piece, and It Gets Old, a solo.
Both works explore the importance of reconnecting with your inner truth and your community in times when personal agency is threatened by external forces.

La Cámara Nautilus es un “barco”. Es donde uno puede navegar en los vientos de la música y el movimiento a las regiones del cuerpo, la mente y el espíritu aún no cartografiadas. Y les doy la bienvenida a todos. Todos los jueves por la noche a las 7 p.m. tenemos una danza transformacional, una danza de forma libre que explora libremente diferentes ideas, como soltar tus creencias por un momento, o descubrir cómo es moverse de diferentes maneras y cómo eso puede expandir tu conciencia de sí mismo, o lo que significa "mudarse de su centro". Ethan Feldman
About Ethan Feldman, DC: {Español abajo} trained as a dancer from the age of 19 to 21 before leaving the studio to find a viable career that suited his need to be in both in the kinesthetic and healing worlds (chiropractic), he danced as he could over twenty plus years of family and clinic life before moving from Berkeley California to San Miguel de Allende, where he and his wife built a beautiful home and dance studio, The Nautilus Chamber. He currently leads Dancing Freedom free-form dance waves in which people get to move as they wish, through music and themes that explore all aspects of the human condition. The movement work is deep and life changing. He often invites other practitioners of other movement arts and disciplines to share their work in combined or solo workshops with him. He calls the Dancing Freedom tradition, which he trained and was certified in over ten years ago with Samantha Sweetwater “Danzlibre” to make more sense to the Spanish ear. Classes are taught in both Spanish and English.
Acerca de Ethan Feldman, DC: se formó como bailarín entre los 19 y los 21 años antes de abandonar el estudio para encontrar una carrera viable que se adaptara a su necesidad de estar en los mundos kinestésico y curativo (quiropráctica). Bailó como pudó durante más de veinte años de vida familiar y clínica antes de mudarse de Berkeley California a San Miguel de Allende, donde él y su esposa construyeron una hermosa casa y estudio de baile, The Nautilus Chamber.
