Some call insomnia a problem.
I call it an opportunity.
An opportunity to feel everything
that daily responsibilities
so easily make me forget.
When the world falls asleep,
something within me awakens.
The silence is no longer empty —
it becomes presence.
I wrap my body in warmth against the cold night air,
but I uncover my soul.
In the quiet of the patio studio,
under the hush of darkness,
each stroke of the mandala
becomes a return to myself.
Insomnia is not always the absence of sleep.
Sometimes, it is the presence of awareness.
It is remembering who I am
when no one is watching,
when there is nothing to prove,
nothing to chase —
only space to be.
In the stillness of the night,
I paint peace.
I create balance.
I breathe art into being.

Generating peace through art.
