BALÓN ALLURION
¿Cómo actúa?
Al ocupar espacio en el estómago el balón Allurion induce la pérdida de peso, ya que provoca en el paciente sensación de saciedad, retrasa la evacuación gástrica y ayuda a reducir la cantidad de alimentos ingeridos en cada comida.

Procedimiento de colocación:
Se lleva a cabo en tres pasos, con una duración de entre 15 y 20 minutos.

Paso 1
Se toma una cápsula que contiene el balón unido a un tubo delgado. Posterior a esto, se hace una radiografía para comprobar que la cápsula esté en su posición correcta.

Paso 2
Una vez que la cápsula llega al estómago, este se llena con líquido (agua destilada con nutrientes) a través del tubo. Se realiza una segunda radiografía para confirmar que el balón esté lleno. Después se retira el tubo y comienza el proceso de pérdida de peso ya que el paciente al sentir menos hambre, comerá menos.

Paso 3
Después de las 16 semanas de su colocación, el balón Allurion se vacía y se elimina de manera natural a través de la evacuación.
