Yes, surgeons say NO too… and here are the 3 reasons nobody tells you about 😳Not every patient is a candidate — and a good surgeon will be honest with you upfront.
Here are the 3 situations where I’ll say NO to surgery (even if a patient insists):
1️⃣ Unrealistic expectations
If someone wants a result that’s impossible for their bone structure or anatomy… I won’t take the case. No surgeon can deliver the impossible — honesty always comes first.
2️⃣ Disrespect toward my team
Kindness matters. If a patient is rude or dismissive to coordinators or staff, that’s a major red flag. We always protect our team. ❤️
3️⃣ Not following medical instructions
If we know a patient won’t follow pre- or post-op care, it puts their safety at risk — and that’s a firm no. Your health always comes first.
A safe surgery starts with a surgeon willing to say no when it’s the right thing to do.
