Well most that know me would have heard the story that while I was pregnant 26 years ago, that little beautiful soccer ball forming in my body (I might add my pregNANCY was amazing) I envisioned what this dark haired, Mediterranean dark skinned Slavic chica would turn out to be!!! Of course, gobsmacked when she came out WHITE as a porcelain doll, long like a plucked chicken and a tuft of red hair swinging to the right on top of her little perfect round head! The world welcomed little Sasha Natalija and it’s a better place with her in it!!
I’m in awe witnessing her growth, stepping back to not be too annoying to her (but won’t ever stop telling her to wear a bra) she is the young woman that she is directly because of the little village that raised her! Nona, Deda, Sakura, Gideon, Brad and Annamaria and damir.... i know you’re all as proud as I am to see Sashas true self emerge as she is carving such a beautiful life with her talent for words and a partner, who’s equally a kind and thoughtful human being, by her side and we just can’t wait to see her keep growing and evolving to create the life of her dreams!!
Sash, you have taught me so much.
It could have worked out so differently, I’m just grateful you are alive, healthy and smart. At the end, I think that’s what every parent truly wants for their kids....
