El trastorno del espectro autista (TEA ) es una alteración del desarrollo que se caracteriza por deficiencias en la interacción social y en la comunicación, comportamiento caracterizado por patrones repetitivos y estereotipados, y un repertorio restrictivo de intereses y actividades.
Una definición sencilla podría ser: "El autismo es un síndrome que afecta la comunicación, las relaciones sociales y afectivas del individuo". Es la incapacidad para establecer contacto habitual con las personas, dificultades para hablar, no miran a los ojos, no juegan con otros niños, se les hace difícil controlar las emociones, no soportan los cambios de rutina, son distraídos, tienen movimientos repetitivos con las manos o cabeza, mecen constantemente sus cuerpos, hacen actividades fijas y son rutinarios 🧩🧸
