Congratulations to Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri Pulau Pinang for receiving the prestigious Angels Region Award for Barat Daya Penang, an honour by Angels Initiative and the World Stroke Organization. This international recognition highlights the region’s excellence in stroke care through the achievement of four key pillars:

Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri Pulau Pinang has played a leading role in ensuring wide and effective healthcare coverage for the community, working closely with various stakeholders, including private institutions and non-governmental organisations.
St John Ambulance Penang is proud to be part of this remarkable achievement. In 2025, our ambulance service attained three EMS Angels Awards – Platinum Status and one Diamond Status, recognising excellence in prehospital stroke care.
This success is further strengthened by the commitment of Pantai Hospital Penang, which plays a vital role in ensuring continuous stroke readiness. The FAST Heroes programme continues to empower the younger generation to recognise stroke signs and act FAST. We commend the active participation of schools across the region, including 231 children from Pibk Sjkc Chung Shan participated the session conducted by St John Ambulance.
