My first time here. This is sani express r&r. Ouh.. Long walk to toilet pass by all the food stalls and a convenient store. Also include toilets and surau (prayer rooms).
Amazingly there's a marshal using torch light to guide the bus during moving backwards. My first time also to see this. Haha 😂

NEW STOCK! It’s been over two years since we’ve received any “kelumpeng” pandanus pouches from Semelai elder weaver Norisah (60s) of Kg Bapak, Pos Iskandar in Pahang.

She temporarily stopped weaving when husband passed away in February 2019 but made a few in June that year. She was often ill so she couldn’t weave ... and then the pandemic struck.

Although we met her in February 2022, she had still not resumed weaving but thankfully she made this small batch of 12 pieces in time for our pick up on 6/7/2022.

Although Norisah is currently the only Semelai weaver actively making this unusual ‘embroidered’ pouch, we’re not going to put a ‘blue ribbon’ on it (for now) but will ration it to only one piece per sale day.

That means two pouches will be available during the upcoming weekend sale at Muzium Negara.
