Being away from home during festive celebrations can feel especially hard, and we understand how much our patients miss their families during this time.

This Chinese New Year, for those staying with us, we want to bring a touch of the celebration to you. On Day 1 of CNY, 17 February, we will be serving Chicken Prosperity’s Chicken Rice and the Prosperity Fish Burger for patients who are able to enjoy these meals. It’s a small gesture to share the spirit of the season while you focus on getting better.

We are honoured to receive the 3 Diamond Recognition at Anugerah Bandar Rendah Karbon 2025, marking our second consecutive year achieving 3 Diamond status under the Low Carbon Cities Programme.

In 2025, our hospital recorded a 12.88% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, equivalent to 1,289.85 tCO₂eq compared to the 2021 baseline. This was driven by continuous improvements in energy efficiency, water conservation and waste management initiatives. By improving these areas, we reduce emissions and environmental risks while enhancing patient safety, staff wellbeing and community health outcomes.

This milestone reflects our commitment to C.A.R.E Committed, Accountable, Respectful and Excellent in delivering responsible and sustainable healthcare.

The recognition was received on behalf of the hospital by our Operations Manager, Puan Norzana Abdul Rajak, who shared, “We are proud of our team’s progress in embedding sustainability into daily operations, and we will continue strengthening our efforts to create a healthier environment for our patients, staff and community.”

Our Consultant Emergency Physician and Head of Emergency Department, Prof. Madya (K) Dr. Shahrul Nizam Ahmad Zamzali, was invited as one of the speakers at Hari Kanser Sedunia 2026, organised by the National Cancer Society Malaysia.

In his session, “Cancer and the Emergency Department: The Reality of Late Diagnosis,” he highlighted what doctors often encounter when cancer is detected late, and why early awareness plays a critical role.

Carrying the theme “United by Unique,” the event reinforced that every cancer journey is different, yet no one should face it alone. The national-level programme was officiated by YB Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad, Minister of Health, at Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, Kuala Lumpur.

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming the team from SALAM Shah Alam Specialist Hospital to Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital.

The visit was about sharing our Customer Care experience, as they plan to establish their own Customer Care department. Beyond discussions, we brought the team on a hospital tour, including our wards to experience how our teams put C.A.R.E into action every day, in ways that truly matter to patients and families.
