This yearโs observance highlights the vital role of Optometrists in delivering accessible, high-quality eye care and promoting vision health as a fundamental human right. As digital lifestyles continue to increase visual demands, Optometrists remain essential in early detection, prevention, and management of vision and eye health conditions.

In Malaysia, Optometrists play a key role in primary eye care services, including comprehensive vision assessments, prescribing corrective lenses, managing myopia progression, and detecting early signs of ocular diseases.
