Karma Yoga MY

Karma Yoga MY we do good every day, and that is karma yoga. karma yoga school: 2020063000807 (003086578-a) our mission:

do good. everyday. we are karma yoga. sustainable space.

the art of giving back is karma yoga
our beliefs, habits, words, actions, and thoughts constitute “good and bad karma” or “positive and negative karma.” whether we believe in one life or reincarnation, science or spirituality, logic or emotion, one thing we will find in common — we do good everyday and that is karma yoga. changing the landscape of yoga to be more authentic, mindful, and conscious through our daily actions. our vision:

upholding a komuniti where yoga is not all but one. we believe that doing good will make us connected and happier - hence, we want to change the world, one savasana at a time. multidisciplinary practice. komuniti offerings. human being, human kind.

transcend: 300-hour yoga teacher training is designed to build your critical discernment capacity. instead of giving you more to remember, it trains how you think. you learn how to read bodies beyond surface alignment, how to adjust sequences without losing their purpose, how to progress or regress movements with clarity, and how to explain what you are doing and why. the focus is not on collecting techniques, but on understanding load, function, and structure so your teaching holds under pressure.

the curriculum integrates techniques, anatomy, philosophy, and practicum into one coherent system. you will move through 300 hours of practice and applied training, anatomy and physiology grounded in real movement, yoga humanities that inform modern teaching, teaching methodology, and practicum where you teach, receive feedback, and refine your approach. each component builds on the next so that learning is not fragmented, but cumulative.

led by jen o., ying h., and edward c.; this is a faculty known for precision, depth, and evidence-based teaching. the aim is simple: to help you move from guessing to knowing, from performing to understanding, and from following sequences to building them with intention. this is a certification; one that focuses on recalibration of how you practise, think, and teach.

this training builds the framework for interpreting asana. you will learn taxonomy and complexity, applied functional anatomy, and how biomechanics and load management determine what is actually happening in the body. instead of memorising positions, you will understand how movement is organised.

the curriculum includes movement mechanics, muscle imbalances, and transitions as continuous biomechanics. skeletal variation is addressed to explain why alignment is not universal, and why different bodies solve the same pose differently. progressions and regressions are applied based on capacity, not appearance. this is svādhyāya, self-study. practice becomes a process of observation and refinement, not replication.

this training develops sequencing as a method. you will learn how to layer intensity, prepare tissues, and manage fatigue across a session. biomechanics informs what is placed where, pacing and timing influence how the nervous system responds.

the curriculum covers class architecture, cueing precision, and real-time adaptation. you will learn how to adjust sequences without losing their objective, how to communicate clearly, and how to maintain coherence under changing conditions. this is dhāraṇā, sustained attention. sequencing becomes the practice of holding a clear thread from beginning to end.

this training breaks inversions into their governing mechanics. you will learn how scapular elevation and upward rotation create support in overhead positions, how force transfers through the kinetic chain, and how inefficient entries increase torque and destabilise balance. instead of repeating attempts, you will understand what makes an inversion mechanically viable.

we train inversions as a system. entries, transitions, and exits are continuous movement, because balance is not a position but a process. progressions are based on joint capacity, load tolerance, and motor control, not ambition. props are used to reduce complexity and improve learning efficiency. this is abhyāsa and vairāgya, consistent effort, and the removal of excess. steadiness is built, not forced.

this training focuses on the mechanics that create support. you will learn how wrist extension, scapular protraction, and trunk stiffness contribute to load-bearing, and how small shifts in centre of mass change the torque demands of each shape. instead of trying to push up, you will organise the system so lift becomes predictable.

the curriculum integrates upper limb anatomy, core coordination, and movement patterns into one system. progressions are based on capacity and control, not aesthetics. props are used to refine alignment and reduce unnecessary load, while contraindications are addressed to manage joint stress, particularly at the wrist and elbow. this is sthira and sukha; stability and ease. when structure is correct, effort reduces.

this training reframes backbends as coordinated extension. you will learn how thoracic mobility, hip extension, and shoulder flexion contribute to overall range, and how active muscular engagement redistributes load away from passive structures. instead of pushing deeper, you will create space through better organisation.

the curriculum covers spinal load management, joint contribution, and the difference between active and passive range. progressions are structured to build tissue capacity over time, supported by props that modify joint angles and reduce strain. contraindications are addressed to account for structural variability. this is ahiṃsā (non-harm).depth is not pursued at the expense of integrity.

🍊🧧 happy lunar new year yogis ✨🎋 -

what a special moment where two meaningful traditions meet. as we step into the fire horse year, we wish you strength, clarity, and steady momentum in all that you build. in yoga, we talk about abhyāsa and vairāgya; consistent effort and wise non-grasping. this new year is a reminder that progress...

one month into rise: 200-hour yoga teacher training; the early mornings, the sore bodies, the mental fatigue from unlearning and relearning. the courage it takes to be corrected, to ask better questions, to stand in front of your peers and teach anyway. excellence is not built in inspiration but rather in repetition, feedback, and quiet persistence.

our trainees are doing the work. showing up when it’s uncomfortable. refining their cues, their teaching, their understanding of anatomy, philosophy, and responsibility. this is grit. this is tenacity. this is how competent, ethical, and grounded teachers are formed. not by talent, but by commitment to the process.

one month down with foundations laid. the path ahead gets deeper, not easier and that’s exactly the point.

we run together on the first sunday of every month.
not to race, not to prove, not to perform.
we move together, and we circle back for kopi and conversation. movement first, komuniti after.

there is no obligation to hang out, just come as you are!

you don’t need to run more; you need to run again.
agency grows through small actions done together; not grand plans done alone.
show up once a month; let rhythm do the rest.
this is how consistency becomes sustainable.

our run guides sin mei c. and jessica l. is ready to support you through and through! booking open 30 days in advance. each bookings goes to charity.
