🩺 DIABETES MELLITUS (DM)
Also known as Kencing Manis

Diabetes is a condition where blood sugar levels are higher than normal. Many people don’t realise they have it until complications start — that’s why early screening matters.

📊 Blood sugar levels for Type 2 Diabetes:
• Fasting (Berpuasa): ≥ 7.0 mmol/L
• Random (Secara rawak): ≥ 11.1 mmol/L

🧪 HbA1c (average sugar level over 3 months):
• Normal: < 5.6%
• Pre-diabetes: 5.6 – 6.2%
• Diabetes: ≥ 6.3%

⚠️ Symptoms may include:
• Frequent urination
• Excessive thirst
• Unexplained weight loss
• Easy fatigue

✨ Early detection = better control & fewer complications.
