Every day, we witness love at its most fragile,

Caring for someone isn't easy — and you don't have to do it alone.

“Mom, you look so pale… your hands are shaking. Please drink some sweet water and break your fast.”
“It’s okay… only 30 minutes until Maghrib. I don’t want to waste my fast.”

Sadly, conversations like this sometimes end in coma or stroke.

Please remember: A fast can be replaced. A life cannot.
If you or your parents experience any of these 4 red flags, you must break your fast immediately.

1️⃣ Low Blood Sugar (Hypoglycemia)

-If your hands are shaking, you feel cold and sweaty, your heart is racing, or your vision becomes blurry — your body is running out of sugar.
-When blood sugar drops too low (below 3.9 mmol/L), the brain is starving. Within minutes, it can lead to seizures or coma.
-Drink something sweet immediately. Do not wait.

2️⃣ Severe Dehydration

-If you feel dizzy when standing, your tongue is very dry, you feel confused, or your urine is very dark and minimal — your body is dangerously low on fluids.
-Severe dehydration thickens the blood and increases the risk of stroke and kidney failure.
-Break your fast and rehydrate.

3️⃣ Very High Blood Sugar (Hyperglycemia)

-If you are extremely thirsty, urinating frequently, feeling unusually exhausted, or your breath smells fruity — your sugar level may be too high.
-When blood sugar rises above 16.6 mmol/L, it can lead to a life-threatening condition called diabetic ketoacidosis.
-This is a medical emergency. Break your fast and seek help.

4️⃣ Sudden Acute Illness

-If you develop persistent vomiting, severe diarrhea, or high fever with chills — your body is losing fluids and electrolytes rapidly.
-Continuing to fast in this condition can cause the body to shut down.
-Rest. Rehydrate. Seek medical care if needed.

Taking care of your health is not weakness — it is responsibility.
Please share these reminders with your parents and loved ones, especially the elderly.

May we all be granted a safe and healthy Ramadan.
Ramadan Mubarak 🤍

When the doctor told us Papa Goh only had three months left, the family made the loving decision to let him spend his remaining time in the nursing home.
Even though he didn’t want to be there, he chose to go—because he cared deeply for his family.

When he arrived, tall but so thin, we could feel how much he had endured.
In the beginning, he still joined our simple activities.
But as his left hand grew weaker, his spirit remained strong.
We arranged massages, gentle exercises, and always tried our best to support him.

Food became our biggest challenge.
We tried everything—anything he might like.
But in the end, his body was simply too tired.
All we could do was be there with him, encouraging, comforting, and loving him through it all.

Despite his struggles, Papa Goh continued to care for others.
He told caregivers to rest when they were tired, shared remedies, taught us how to grow plants, and always offered warmth in his own quiet way.

Papa Goh,
may you now be free from pain.
May you rest peacefully in heaven’s embrace.
Your kindness and strength will stay in our hearts forever.

Rest in peace, dear Papa Goh.

👁️ “I used to see clearly… now everything feels blurry.”

It didn’t happen overnight.
Slowly, the words became harder to read. Faces less familiar. Light more uncomfortable.

For many elderly individuals, diabetes quietly damages the tiny blood vessels in the eyes.
Without proper control and early care, it can lead to diabetic eye disease — and even blindness.

that is why, we monitor blood sugar levels, observe small changes, and provide gentle, consistent care — because vision is not just about sight, it’s about dignity and independence.

💙 Protect their eyes. Control their sugar. Care with heart.
Early action today can preserve their world tomorrow.

🧠❄️ A Small Pain, A Gentle Reminder

One afternoon, a resident enjoyed a cold drink to cool down from the warm weather.
Suddenly, they held their head — a sharp pain that came and went quickly.
It was brain freeze — uncomfortable, but temporary.

For many of us, it’s just a passing moment.
But for the elderly, even small discomforts can be confusing or worrying, especially for those with memory issues, stroke history, or neurological conditions.

At our Care Centre, we pay attention to every little change — a headache, a sudden reaction, a quiet discomfort.
Because sometimes, what seems small can feel big to an ageing mind and body.

With gentle guidance, simple care, and close observation, we help our seniors feel safe, reassured, and understood ❤️

💙 Caring isn’t only about treatment — it’s about noticing, comforting, and protecting them every day.

❤️ Don’t Ignore LDL & Triglycerides (TG)

High cholesterol doesn’t always come with warning signs — but its impact can be serious.
When LDL (“bad cholesterol”) and triglycerides are too high, blood vessels can slowly become narrowed and blocked, increasing the risk of heart attack and stroke.

💙 Early checks, loving care, safer days ahead.
Because their health matters to us, just like family.

✨ 𝐼𝓈𝓇𝒶𝓀 & 𝑀𝒾𝓀𝓇𝒶𝒿 ✨

✨ On this blessed occasion of Israk & Mikraj, may the journey of spiritual elevation inspire us to walk with faith, patience, and purpose.

May our hearts be guided towards compassion, wisdom, and gratitude as we reflect on the profound lessons of this sacred night.
Wishing everyone a day filled with peace and blessings. 🌙✨
