很多人不知道——
原来物理治疗,也可以申请保险理赔。

在门诊里,我常常听到这句话:
「如果早知道physio可以 claim,我应该早一点来。」

其实在马来西亚,
不少医药卡 / 医疗保险
是可以涵盖 Physiotherapy(物理治疗) 的,
包括:

✔ 运动受伤
✔ 慢性疼痛

这些年,我持续进修,也持续反思自己的治疗方式。
不是推翻过去,
而是在经验累积中,看得更清楚——
每一个身体,都值得被认真倾听。

疼痛从来不只是一个部位的问题。
它常常和生活、压力、习惯,还有身体长期被忽略的讯号有关。

所以在 2026,
我希望继续用这些年累积的经验,
陪你慢慢把身体照顾好。

但有一件事,我不会改变:
对社区友善的收费原则。

因为我相信,
当一个人愿意开始,
身体才真的有机会改变。

When someone is in pain—
or has gone through an injury, surgery, or trauma—
the body unconsciously shifts into a protective mode.

And very often, that protection alters how we breathe.

You may notice:
• Breathing becomes shallow
• The chest stays lifted
• The ribs flare outward
• The pelvis feels “stuck”
• The back remains constantly tense

👉 The body becomes stucked in an inhalation state.
The diaphragm loses its mobility.
Organ positions shift.
The pelvis and pelvic floor can no longer work together.

This isn’t something you choose to do.
It’s the nervous system trying to keep you safe.

That’s why when many people walk into my studio,
the first thing they experience isn’t stretching,
isn’t hands-on work,
and isn’t exercise.

It’s lying down—and learning how to breathe again.

Because when the nervous system is still on high alert,
the body doesn’t feel safe with any treatment.

This is also why I often begin with
PRI 90–90 diaphragmatic breathing.

Step by step,
we guide the body out of a “stuck in inhalation” state
and back into a place where it can exhale, soften, and recover.

It’s not laziness.
It’s not “too basic.”

It’s the foundation.

When breathing returns,
the pelvis starts to cooperate,
the body feels safe enough to let go—
and pain finally has space to ease.

【按摩枪=安全吗?请先停下来想一想】

最近看到这则新闻,一名男子使用了网上购买的按摩枪导造成全身多处严重骨折。
很多人第一反应是:
“有这么夸张吗?”

但我想借这个机会,提醒大家一件很重要的事👇

❗️按摩枪不是玩具,也不是越便宜、越用力就越有效。

按摩枪本质上是高频冲击工具,
如果:
• 使用在不适合的位置
• 使用时间过长
• 力度过强
• 用在骨头、关节、神经、血管附近
• 或身体本身已有问题却不自知

👉 都有可能造成严重伤害。

你可能在治疗时听我说过:
“我们先从呼吸开始。”
不是拉筋,
不是按压,
不是扭动关节。
只是——呼吸。

很多人觉得这“太简单”。
但科学一次又一次证明:

📚 最新研究(2026 HUNT Pain Examination Study)指出:
➡️ 慢性疼痛的人 更难让肌肉放松
➡️ 并不是肌肉坏了
➡️ 而是神经系统长期处在“保护模式”

换句话说:
慢性疼痛不是肌肉的问题,而是“系统过度紧绷”的问题。

所以我总是从这些开始:
✨ 横膈膜呼吸
✨ 降低神经系统警觉
✨ 建立身体觉察
✨ 让身体重新感到“安全”

当身体感到安全时:
肌肉不再防御,
关节不再僵硬,
呼吸变柔和,
动作变顺畅,
疼痛也会安静下来。

这是所有训练、力量、手法治疗之前的真正基础。

疼痛可能在身体里,
但“安全感”必须从系统开始。

You’ve probably heard me say this during your sessions:
“Let’s start by breathing first.”
Not stretching.
Not cracking joints.
Not deep tissue.
Just breathing.

Many people think this is “too simple.”
But science keeps proving otherwise.

📚 A new study (The HUNT Pain Examination Study, 2026) found that:
➡️ People with chronic pain have a significantly harder time relaxing their muscles
➡️ Not because the muscle is damaged
➡️ But because the nervous system is stuck in protection mode

In other words,
chronic pain is not a muscle problem — it’s a system tension problem.

This is why I always begin with:
✨ Diaphragmatic breathing
✨ Nervous system down-regulation
✨ Gentle awareness work
✨ Getting the body to feel safe again

Because when the body feels safe,
muscles stop guarding.
joints stop bracing.
breath becomes softer.
movement becomes easier.
pain becomes quieter.

This is the foundation before any strengthening, mobility, or manual therapy.

Pain may live in the body,
but nervous system can be calm so your body feels safe to move.

身体才有机会跟上。

5️⃣ 当你依赖药物、按摩、放松、抽烟或逃避来“止痛”,

6️⃣ 疼痛不是要被“消灭”,
而是要被“理解”。
它在告诉你——哪里该被关注、被改变。

7️⃣ 你说“什么都没用”,

As a chronic pain management physiotherapist, I need to say this:

1️⃣ Scans and X-rays don’t explain your pain.
They only show structural changes —
and many of these changes are normal,
even in people who feel zero pain.

2️⃣ Disc bulges, arthritis, “degeneration”…
do not mean your body is damaged.
They often reflect time, adaptation, and life —
not danger.

3️⃣ The real work of healing chronic pain
doesn’t sit in anyone else’s hands.
Doctors and physios can guide you,
but change only begins
when you decide to take that first step.

4️⃣ If you don’t believe you can heal,
your body won’t believe it either.
When you start to trust,
your body finally gets a chance to follow.

5️⃣ If you rely on medication, massage, distractions, or escape to “quiet” the pain,
you’re only turning the volume down temporarily.
The root stays untouched.

6️⃣ Pain isn’t something to eliminate —
it’s something to understand.
It’s your body’s way of saying,
“Something needs attention.”

7️⃣ When you say “nothing works,”
sometimes it’s not the method that failed —
it’s that hope wasn’t allowed to enter the room.

8️⃣ Sitting quietly with yourself — even doing nothing —
is a form of healing.
You don’t always need more stimulation.
Sometimes your body needs stillness.

9️⃣ Pain isn’t the enemy.
It’s a teacher.
It shows up to push you toward change
you’ve been avoiding for too long.

🔟 There is a way forward.
Trust the process.
Take small steps.
Lean gently into what hurts, instead of running from it.
Healing often begins in that moment.

呼吸方式错了,体态再好也没用。

很多人以为——坐直、站挺、收腹,就是“好姿势”。
但其实,真正的关键在「呼吸」。

当你的呼吸被锁在胸口、颈部、甚至嘴巴,
身体就会一边“用力维持”,一边“慢慢崩溃”。
肩颈酸、背痛、疲倦、焦虑……其实都在提醒你:
你的身体,已经忘了怎么「放松地呼吸」。

我们一天呼吸两万次,
每一次都在影响体态、循环与疼痛。

Most people think “good posture” means sitting up straight or pulling the tummy in —
but the real key lies in how you breathe.

We breathe 20,000 times a day.
