Done and dusted 2025! Here comes 2026!! Let’s usher in the new year with aspirations for a better year! Here is the last month of 2025 giving us a great closing and a reason to celebrate, 3 successful IVF!
A 37 year old lady has been with us since early of 2025 with 2 previous history of miscarriages. She had done test and noted not to have any thrombophilia abnormalities (blood disorder). Couple has been traumatised by 2 miscarriages and willing to ensure no more recurrence. Not only have they done PGTA ( genetic testing of embryos), they also done endometrium testing to ascertain correct timing of transfer and also presence of lactobacillus to help in implantation. After transferring normal genetic embryo, with probiotics given and transfer at correct window of implantation, and extra supplementation after transfer, we are happy to show a positive UPT! She is currently at 7weeks with baby going strong and growing well☺️
Another couple came to us with 2 previous history of miscarriages but yet to do any investigations. Again, the doctor thought it was not yet warranted until she has another miscarriage before doing the investigations. She was in tears when she shared her history of miscarriages. One can only imagine if she were to go through another miscarriage. Investigations done for her and showed she has Factor 5 ( Leiden) deficiency. All she needed was anticoagulation drugs and close monitoring during pregnancy! Couple did not want to waste time and proceeded with IVF and PGTA. After FET, we wasted no time in starting her anticoagulant medicine. Now, she is very well towards the end of her first trimester and relieved she did not need to go through another miscarriage.
Lastly, a 37 year old lady with one previous history of miscarriage, was not keen to do the miscarriage investigations and wanted to attempt IUI first. After the IUI failed, they proceeded with IVF and their first transfer gave us a positive result! Of course, we took extra precautions and added on extra supplements for her to avoid another miscariage.
