“自闭症不是一种‘病’，它是一种’不同‘”

这是很多家长第一次来见心理师时最常问的问题之一。
“Mr. Chong，他是不是因为我们小时候忽略他？”
“是不是我怀孕的时候太焦虑？”
“是不是我们没有好好教他？”

我总能在这些问题背后，听见一份深深的自责。

那种“是不是我害了孩子”的内疚，几乎压得人喘不过气。

但我想说：
自闭症，不是你造成的。

从科学的角度来看，自闭症是一种“神经发育差异”（neurodevelopmental difference）。意思是，孩子的大脑，从出生开始，就在发育上有些不同。

研究发现，自闭症的成因与遗传因素有很强的关联。

简单来说，这是一种“天生的大脑连结方式的差异”，而不是后天教养或情绪造成的。

在脑部扫描中，我们能看到自闭症孩子的大脑，在社交、语言、感官处理等区域，活动模式与神经典型（neurotypical）孩子不同。

而这背后，往往涉及多个基因的组合效应。也就是说，不是某一个“坏基因”，而是大脑在发育时，选择了另一条“理解世界的路径”。

当然，环境仍然会影响发展。
但那种影响，不是“造成”，而是“塑造”。

好的支持环境，像是理解、陪伴、早期介入，可以让这些孩子更好地学习沟通、表达与适应。
反之，如果环境充满责骂、否定、误解，就像在沙地上种花，不是花不想开，而是土太硬了。

我常告诉家长：
自闭症不是一种“病”，
它是一种“不同”。
而我们要做的，不是“修正孩子”，
而是重新理解这个不同的世界观。

当你开始看见他的眼神、他的节奏、他的小小世界，
你会发现，
他也在努力地靠近你，
只是方式不太一样。

所以啊，
自闭症不是天生或后天的问题，
它是天生的“不同”，
加上后天我们能否用心“理解”的结果。

有一天，当你不再问“为什么是他”，
而开始问“我能怎么陪他”，
你会发现，
真正的改变，就从那一刻开始了。
