Gleneagles Hospital Penang is a modern tertiary care private hospital strategically located in the heart of Penang island. It was established in July 1973 as the first private hospital in Penang and was formerly known as Penang Medical Centre (PMC). In 1989, Parkway Healthcare took control of the hospital by holding the majority of shares. After group restructuring Gleneagles Penang was then integrated into the Parkway Pantai Group, a subsidiary of IHH Healthcare Berhad (IHH). Today, Gleneagles Hospital Penang is an iconic premier medical centre in the Northern Region of Malaysia with a bed capacity of 360 providing full facilities and services. This modern design setting and state-of-the-art facilities will allow us to continue in providing remarkable healthcare and high-quality service to enhance our patientsโ€™ comfort. It has more than 60 resident consultants and 20 non-resident consultants, supported by more than 900 employees (comprising of nurses, allied health personnel and support staff). As SG Lim embarks on his 2,200km โ€œRun for Goldโ€ across Malaysia in support of children with cancer, Gleneagles Hospital Penang is honoured to play a meaningful role in this purposeful journey.

Guided by our commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centred care, Gleneagles Hospital Penang is providing SG Lim with a comprehensive pre-run wellness assessment to ensure he is fit and well-prepared for the demands ahead. This includes a series of blood tests as well as cardiac evaluations.

During the holy month of Ramadan, many of our colleagues continue serving our patients while observing the fast. Long hours, busy wards, and patient care do not pause, and our healthcare teams remain dedicated to providing the best care possible.

At Gleneagles Hospital Penang, part of IHH Healthcare Malaysia, we took a moment to show our appreciation to colleagues working the afternoon shift by preparing Iftar packed meals for them to break their fast while on duty.
To personally thank our teams, the Iftar meals were distributed by Mr Ng B**g Seng, Acting CEO; Dr Benjamin Chow, COO; Ms Yeap Hooi Sim, Director of Nursing; Ms Yeoh Koay Chun, Deputy Director of Nursing; and Ms Grace Tan, Senior HR & Administration Manager, together with the HR team.

Gleneagles Hospital Penang is a modern tertiary care private hospital strategically located in the heart of Penang island. It was established in July 1973 as the first private hospital in Penang and was formerly known as Penang Medical Centre (PMC). In 1989, Parkway Healthcare took control of the hospital by holding the majority of shares. In 2010, Khazanah National Berhad acquired the entire shareholdings of Parkway. After group restructuring Gleneagles Penang was then integrated into the Parkway Pantai Group, a subsidiary of IHH Healthcare Berhad (IHH). Today, Gleneagles Hospital Penang is an iconic premier hospital in Malaysia with a bed capacity of 360 providing full facilities and services. This modern design setting and state-of-the-art facilities will allow us to continue in providing remarkable healthcare and high-quality service to enhance our patientsโ€™ comfort. It has more than 70 resident consultants and 20 non-resident consultants, supported by more than 1000 employees (comprising nurses, allied health personnel and support staff).
