In conjunction with International Men’s Day, Penang Adventist Hospital hosted a charity event, called ‘MENtion It: Building Compassion, Health and Strength’ at Gurney Plaza on Nov 16.

The event, which successfully raised RM263,550 through public support and generous donations, will be channelled to the hospital’s Cancer Fund. It is primarily used to treat needy cancer patients undergoing treatments.

PAH’s effort to align this charity cause with International Men’s Day was timely, honouring the work men do in society while reminding them of the importance of keeping fit and healthy!

Various activities took place at the mall, including workout sessions like HIIT, Les Mills Dance, and Mat Pilates, celebrating strength, wellness, and community spirit.

Mall-goers were also intrigued by other activities, such as fitness challenges, a moustache shave, and physiotherapy fitness tests, which promoted the message that men’s health extends beyond physical wellness to overall well-being.

Separately, last year, PAH disbursed RM465,070 from the Cancer Fund to assist 22 patients.

Pulau Tikus assemblyman Joshua Woo Sze Zeng was the guest of honour at the event.
