Lam Wah Ee Hospital is a 700 bedded tertiary acute care hospital located at Jalan Tan Sri Teh Ewe Lim, Penang, Malaysia. This not-for-profit private hospital is accredited by the Malaysian Society for Quality in Health. The Hospital started as a provider of traditional Chinese Medicine treatment in 1883 while the Western Medicine division commenced operations in 1983. OBJECTIVES : The Hospital shall be an independent, charitable and non-profit organisation. i ) To render medical services to the general public irrespective of race or religion. ii ) To render free medical treatment to destitute patients. iii) To sponsor and undertake research, teaching and training of medical personnel. iv ) To establish, maintain and administer any charitable organisation or association whose objects are totally or partially relevant to those of the Hospital. Hospital Lam Wah Ee recently provided free health screening for the orphans of Persatuan Kebajikan Anak Anak Yatim Islam,Penang on 14 Dec 2025. Our team of 17 included 3 paediatricians, 2 pharmacists, staff nurses and other staff.
The orphans were given check-ups by the doctors and received the necessary medicine and supplements.
They were also delighted with the free apples and biscuits they received.

In playing our part to uplift the community’s health and well-being, a team of 13 members, including 3 specialists and 10 staff from different departments of Hospital Lam Wah Ee participated in an outreach programme to provide health screening service and consultation for the 22 children of Penang Shan Children’s Home at Jalan Mount Erskine, Penang. This programme is part of our charitable activities for the NGOs.
