This 60+ year old lady had an insect 🐜 bite in India 2 weeks ago. Came back have a lot of blisters and ended up very bad Cellulitus.

5/6 - 10/6
She visited clinic doctor and take a ful course of antibiotics and they advise her to clean the wound with potassium permaganate 😅 .

10/6
Then I have a chance to visit aunty too and advise them to consult orthopedic in hospital to get appropriate treatment. Very lucky this aunty listen to my advise and have appropriate antibiotic in hospital.

15/6 - 24/6
Aunty completed her antibiotic , with daily dresing for aunty ! Her Cellulitus finally subsided and all wounds just healed in total of 2 weeks!

Never get a late treatment ! 💝

Patient was admitted with low oxygen and diagnosed with pneumonia. After being discharged home, patient was taken under palliative care as prognosis wasn’t optimistic. 🥲However we never give up on her! We tried various method to help her wound!

Finally! After 7 months of hardwork the wound had healed very well!

This wound a few month old developed due to scratches from the wheelchair , and the wound cleaned by maid in nursing home for a few month already. Still not healing well..

Here , our wound care nurse 👩‍⚕️ visited the patient and had a few session of wound cleaning and finally the wound healed well as attached!

With the coreect product used , the wound will heal super fast!

Do u know how to determine the correct size of diapers for patient? 🤔

Wrong size of the diapers may cause some skin problem as the tightness of diapers may cause some sweat. Patient will complaint of itching also. 😥

Our home care nurse went for a home visit to one of the old fold home’s patient as the maid mentioned patient might have the signs of pressure sore.

After the full assessment , we discovered the redness of skin at thighs actually is not sign of pressure sore but is another skin problem - Skin Fungal Infection.

In two weeks time ,
Redness of skin slowly faded with the correct size of diapers and the correct cream applied !

Now patient no more suffering from itching! 😊

Did u ever see some patients suffering from bed sore is counting by years … 🙁

This aunty is a stroke bed ridden patient. Before they contacted me. She has a big bed sore at her buttock there.

Over 1 year plus just under my guidance and advise through whatapps. And Wound visit from me from Weekly to 2 weekly to monthly.

Finally, Her wound healed well! 🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

To healed a wound sound like easy. But the process of healing need a lot patience ! ☺️

But is all worthy for patient and caregiver! 💪🏻💪🏻

Some common questions that patient will asked when I attend for dresing :

“ How Long this wound can heal ya? “
“ 这个伤口要洗几久啊？”
“ Berapa lama lagi luka Baik? “

Sound very simple question but yet the answer is infinity 😂

Until the wound is healed then only I can know how long ur wound can heal! Each and everyone healing process and healing time different.

What can I answer to them: “ It’s take time to heal sometime weeks to months depend on ur performance these few week or months” .. is it sound like Performance Appraisal? Haha 😂

If you listen to what we teach and advise then wound will heal pretty fast. ( like u will get ur double increment 🤓) .

This patient can walk with walking frame also can get bed sore.. so don’t think that only bed ridden patient can develop bed sore.

The first day visit patient asked me how long the wound can heal! I say about months , normally 1-2 months.

Luckily , her wound really healed in one month! So she got her double increment ! Happy for her!

80 year old patient suffered from Bed sore due to prolonged lying on supine position.

After the teaching to the maid and family members, patient’s bed sore slowly healed!
After 2 months, patient wound healed well!

Note:
- Always turn patient at least 2 hourly or when necessary!
- Nurse On Ripple Mattres!
- Change dresing when necessary especially patient on diapers!

Heath teaching is important! But provided maid and family member follow all instructions!

This can help to fasten the wound healing!

Time prove everything and effort wil never waste! ✌🏻✌🏻

Choose the Correct dresing item is also vital!

Cleaning a wound it can be a very easy procedure but it can be very complicated when the wound meet obstacles!

This uncle had a accident last year and developed the bone fracture and causes this wound! Eventually the wound sutures ended with necrotic tissue!

Here Our Wound Care Nurse started the dressing Journey with this uncle!

And as the photos below.

After 3 months plus ! The wound completely healed and uncle can proceed the next recovery ❤️‍🩹 stage!

Wound Difficult to heal? Even though use a lot expensive dresing product? 😪

Finding driver for ur parents as nobody fetch them to do dressing? 😓

To dress a wound, it can be very simple and also can be very complicated. 🤔

When u use wrong dresing product, it can delayed the wound healing and even make the wound got scar. So to choose an appropriate dresing product is very important to a patient’s wound! 👍🏻

This patient comes to us as his wound was not healed for the past 2 months although just a small wound.

Within 2 weeks only, with the correct dresing product , we able to help this patient to minimise the wound size and we hope it can close up very soon.
