Perak Community Specialist Hospital (PCSH) is pleased to announce the opening of our additional 6-bedded private Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on 17 November 2025, marking an important milestone in our commitment to delivering safer and more personalised critical care.

Designed with healing and comfort in mind, the new single-room private ICU provide a calm, modern and supportive environment for patients. The single-room concept enhances privacy and emotional well-being, while the expanded 6-bedded area ensures timely, efficient care for patients requiring close monitoring.

Supported by our dedicated round-the-clock medical team, PCSH continues to uphold its mission of providing affordable quality healthcare. We remain committed to ensuring every patient and their loved ones feel reassured, supported and cared for throughout their journey.

Our PCSH family brought their A-game to the courts at Tan Sri Lee Loy Seng Badminton Complex, with fast-paced rallies, powerful smashes and cheers echoing throughout the day! 🎉

The tournament was a thrilling day, filled with energy, teamwork and fun, as staff cheered each other on, showcased impressive skills on the court and shared plenty of laughter and friendly competition throughout the day.

Thanks to the Physiotherapy Department for the energetic Zumba warm-up and for organizing this fun event to promote wellness, teamwork and staff bonding. Our sport enthusiasts gave their all in every match, making the day full of excitement, laughter, and true sportsmanship. 🏸🔥

As part of our annual tradition, Perak Community Specialist Hospital (PCSH) hosted a joyous Deepavali Dinner on 30 October 2025, bringing together our dedicated staff, doctors and members of the Board of Directors in a spirit of unity and celebration.

The evening began with the lighting of the oil lamp, a symbolic gesture of new beginnings and the sharing of light, led by our CEO, Mr. Nicholas Chan, Mr. Tham Chee Phing (Member of the Board of Directors) and our esteemed doctors.

To add a lively touch to the celebration, they also took part in a delightful Peneram-making demonstration, much to the crowd’s enjoyment!

Guests were treated to a sumptuous buffet featuring authentic Indian-style cuisine, complemented by live stalls serving P**l Appam, Parota and Banana & Pepper Bhaji.

It was truly a memorable evening filled with laughter, delicious food and the warm spirit of togetherness, a beautiful reminder of the light we share as one PCSH family.

Perak Community Specialist Hospital (PCSH) held the Malaysia Patient Safety Goals (MPSG) 2025 event on 28 October 2025, a nationwide initiative dedicated to strengthening patient safety, improving the quality of care and inspiring healthcare professionals to uphold the highest standards in clinical practice.

The opening ceremony was officiated by our CEO, Mr. Nicholas Chan, alongside Mr. Tham Chee Phing (Board of Director Member), Dr. Anoop Kumar (MAC Chairman) and Acting DON Ong Pei Lu.

The event came to life with a short sketch by our nurses, bringing laughter and meaningful reminders about safety in care, followed by an insightful Quality Talk by Ms. Valarmathi.

Around the lobby, educational booths and interactive games created a lively learning experience, helping visitors discover practical ways to make healthcare safer for everyone.

At PCSH, we believe patient safety is more than a goal. It is a shared commitment to care with compassion, dedication and heart.
