π¨ **HEALTH ALERT: DISTEMPER OUTBREAK** π¨
Weβve been informed by a fellow rescuer that **a confirmed case of canine distemper** has been detected in a dog recently claimed from the **MPAJ pound**.
π If you have rescued or claimed a dog from MPAJ in recent weeks, please:

**Isolate the dog immediately** (no contact with other pets)
β
**Monitor for symptoms**: fever, nasal discharge, coughing, lethargy, loss of appetite, neurological signs
β
**Visit a vet as soon as possible** if you observe any signs
β
Ensure your own dogs are **fully vaccinated**
Distemper is highly contagious and often fatal if not caught early. Early isolation and medical care are critical to prevent further spread β especially if youβre managing multiple animals.
