Many years ago, when I was working in a small district hospital in Sarawak, emergencies felt different. When a patient needed advanced care, we didn’t just call an ambulance — we had to activate the medical rescue helicopter. Every call felt like a race against time.
Today, these photos appeared in my Facebook memories, and they hit me harder than I expected. I suddenly remembered a woman I transferred that day — she was bleeding heavily from advanced cervical cancer. I can still picture her face, the fear in her eyes, the urgency in the air as we prepared the helicopter.
That day changed me.
It broke my heart to see a disease that is so preventable take so much from her.
And right there, I made a silent vow: If I could prevent even one woman from reaching that stage, I would.
So if you’ve ever wondered why I always encourage Pap smears in my clinic, why I keep reminding, persuading, even nagging — this is why. It comes from a place of hope, and from a memory I will never forget.
Prevention is better than cure.
Your future self will thank you — please, get screened. ❤️

很多年前，我在砂拉越的一间地区医院工作。那时候，如果病人需要转送到更高级的医院，我们必须启动医疗救援直升机——每一次都是与时间赛跑。
今天，这些照片在我的 Facebook 回忆里跳出来，勾起了我深深埋在心里的画面。
我突然想起那一天，我转送的一位病人——她因为子宫颈癌大出血，情况危急。
我至今还记得她的脸，她眼里的恐惧，还有我们一边抢救、一边等待直升机的紧张感。
那一天深深触动了我。
也让我心痛地意识到：一个可以预防的疾病，竟然能让人受这么多苦。
就在那一刻，我默默对自己发誓——只要我还能做，我就会尽力帮更多女性进行筛查，避免同样的悲剧发生。
所以，如果你曾来过我的诊所，你会发现我总是反复提醒、鼓励、甚至有点唠叨地叫你做子宫颈抹片检查（Pap smear）。
因为这份坚持，是来自一个我永远忘不了的记忆。
预防永远胜于治疗。
为了未来的自己，请一定要去做筛查。 ❤️

Exciting News !!

Congratulations to the first recipient of the RSV vaccine in Regency Specialist Hospital

We’re proud to announce that the Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) vaccine is now available at our clinic.

🔬 What is RSV?

RSV is a common respiratory virus that can cause severe lower respiratory tract infections, especially in infants under 6 months.

It is a leading cause of bronchiolitis and pneumonia in young children.

👶 Protecting Your Baby Starts Before Birth
The new maternal RSV vaccine is recommended for pregnant women between 32–36 weeks gestation. When given during this window, the vaccine helps the mother develop antibodies that are passed to the baby through the placenta, offering protection from birth up to 6 months.

✨ Madam A came to us after struggling with tubal blockage. With hope in her heart, she began her IVF journey and underwent a frozen embryo transfer in June 2025. Today, we’re thrilled to share the wonderful news — she is pregnant! 🌸

✨ Ms. E, who had been suffering from severe dyspareunia, bravely underwent IUI (Intrauterine Insemination) on the same day Jun 2025 — and she has also successfully conceived! 🌈

To both of these incredible women: your courage, patience, and trust have brought you to this joyful chapter — and we are truly honored to be a part of your journey. ❤️
