Red–green color blindness affects up to 1 in 12 males (8%) and 1 in 200 females (0.5%).

Hello sweetie, have you ever heard or experienced either your friend or yourself about color blindness.

Color blindness or color vision deficiency (CVD) is the decreased ability to see color or differences in color. It can impair tasks such as selecting ripe fruit, choosing clothing, and reading traffic lights. Color blindness may make some academic activities more difficult. However, issues are generally minor, and people with colorblindness automatically develop adaptations and coping mechanisms. People with total color blindness (achromatopsia) may also be uncomfortable in bright environments and have decreased visual acuity.

The most common cause of color blindness is an inherited problem or variation in the functionality of one or more of the three classes of cone cells in the retina, which mediate color vision.[2] The most common form is caused by a genetic disorder called congenital red–green color blindness.

Despite much recent improvement in gene therapy for color blindness, there is currently no FDA approved treatment for any form of CVD, and otherwise no cure for CVD currently exists. Management of the condition by using lenses to alleviate symptoms or smartphone apps to aid with daily tasks is possible.

What causes mental illness?

Researchers are still trying to understand what causes mental illness. There is not simply one cause, and often it is a complex mix of factors. These can include genetics and aspects of social learning, such as how you grew up.

It can also be impacted by how your brain works and the interplay with your environment. Your social group, your culture and life experience can also play a part in the development of a mental illness.

Some examples of these factors include:

Genetic factors — having a close family member with a mental illness can increase the chance that you might get a mental illness. However, just because one family member has a mental illness doesn't mean that others will.

Drug and alcohol abuse — illicit drug use can trigger a manic episode (bipolar disorder) or an episode of psychosis. Drugs such as co***ne, ma*****na and amphetamines can cause paranoia.

Other biological factors — some medical conditions or hormonal changes can cause mental health problems.

Early life environment — negative childhood experiences can increase the risk of some mental illnesses. Examples of negative childhood experiences are abuse or neglect.

Trauma and stress — in adulthood, traumatic life events or ongoing stress can increase the risk of mental illness. Issues such as social isolation, domestic violence, relationship breakdown, financial or work problems can impact on mental health. Traumatic experiences such as living in a war zone can increase the risk of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Personality factors — some traits such as perfectionism or low self-esteem can increase the risk of depression or anxiety.

What is a stroke?
•A stroke is a life-threatening condition that happens when part of your brain doesn’t have enough blood flow. This most commonly happens because of a blocked artery or bleeding in your brain. Without a steady supply of blood, the brain cells in that area start to die from a lack of oxygen.

What are the symptoms of a stroke?
•One-sided weakness or paralysis.
•Aphasia (difficulty with or loss of speaking ability).
•Slurred or garbled speaking (dysarthria).
•Loss of muscle control on one side of your face.
•Sudden loss — either partial or total — of one or more senses (vision, hearing, smell, taste and touch).
•Blurred or double vision (diplopia).
•Dizziness or vertigo.
•Memory loss (amnesia).
•Headaches (usually sudden and severe).
•Passing out or fainting.
•Coma.

Is there anything I shouldn’t eat or drink with this condition?
•Beverages that contain caffeine, such as coffee, tea, soft drinks, etc.
•Foods that contain a lot of salt or sodium, which can increase blood pressure.
•Foods that are high in saturated fats, such as fried foods, etc.
•Alcohol or recreational stimulant drugs (co***ne, amphetamines/methamphetamine, etc.).

How can I reduce my risk of having a stroke or prevent them entirely?
•Improve your lifestyle.
•Eating a healthy diet and adding exercise to your daily routine can improve your health.
•You should also make sure to get enough sleep (the recommended amount is seven to eight hours).
•Avoid risky lifestyle choices or make changes to your behaviors.
•Manage your health conditions and risk factors.
•See your primary care provider for a checkup or wellness visit annually.

What is diabetes?
•Diabetes is a condition that happens when your blood sugar (glucose) is too high. It develops when your pancreas doesn’t make enough insulin or any at all, or when your body isn’t responding to the effects of insulin properly.

•Diabetes affects people of all ages. Most forms of diabetes are chronic (lifelong), and all forms are manageable with medications and/or lifestyle changes.

How can I prevent diabetes?
You can’t prevent autoimmune and genetic forms of diabetes. But there are some steps you can take to lower your risk for developing prediabetes, Type 2 diabetes and gestational diabetes, including:

•Eat a healthy diet, such as the Mediterranean diet.
•Get physically active. Aim for 30 minutes a day at least five days a week.
•Work to achieve a weight that’s healthy for you.
•Manage your stress.
•Limit alcohol intake.
•Get adequate sleep (typically 7 to 9 hours) and seek treatment for sleep disorders.
•Quit smoking.
•Take medications as directed by your healthcare provider to manage existing risk factors for heart disease.

M. Thanaraj, 37 who is a resident at the condominium said that he had previously gotten bitten on his chest and back. “I felt a burning sensation. The following day, there were blisters on my left chest and on my back. The scars are still visible to this day,” he said.

This is a story told by a resident of a condominium who was found bitten by an insect called Charlie Ant.

The Charlie ant, also known as rove beetle, is one of the most feared insects in Malaysia. It has been reported as a dermatitis-causing agent for the outbreak cases in Terengganu, Kelantan, and Penang. Since the 1990s, the Charlie ant has become a public health concern due to many outbreaks reported worldwide.

Did you know Charlie ants actually do not bite or sting? It is exposure to Pederin that caused reactions. If you crush the beetles with your bare hands, the toxin is released and absorbed by your skin. The correct way is not to touch or kill Charlie ants with your bare hands, this will cause them to bite or sting.

What are the symptoms of the Charlie ants?

The toxin found in the fluid of their bodies burns the skin and causes dermatitis linearis – a painful rash that is red and itchy and may develop into blisters if not careful.

✓How to Cure Charlie Ant Bite on Human

Washing shortly after exposure will remove much of the toxin before it has time to harm the skin. Use cold compresses, antihistamines, or apply aloe vera to alleviate the symptoms on exposed areas.

Guys, have you ever heard about influenza.
What is Influenza (Flu)?

Flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat, and sometimes the lungs. It can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death. The best way to prevent flu is by getting a flu vaccine each year .

[ The Symptoms of Influenza ]
→ fever over 38°c ( 100.4°F )
→aching muscle
→chills and sweats
→headache
→dry, persistent cough
→fatigue and weakness
→sore throat
→some people may have vomiting and diarrhea, though this is more common in children than adults

The flu is caused by an influenza virus. Most people get the flu when they breathe in tiny airborne droplets from the coughs or sneezes of someone who has the flu.

You can also catch the flu if you touch something with the virus on it, and then touch your mouth, nose, or eyes.

If, however, you have symptoms of the flu and are at increased risk for complications, are very sick, or are worried about your illness, contact your healthcare provider.

What is lung cancer ?
•Lung cancer is a type of cancer that begins in the lungs. Your lungs are two spongy organs in your chest that take in oxygen when you inhale and release carbon dioxide when you exhale.
•Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths worldwide.

Lung cancer typically doesn't cause signs and symptoms in its earliest stages. Signs and symptoms of lung cancer typically occur when the disease is advanced.

Symptoms
•Coughing up blood, even a small amount.
•Shortness of breath.
•Chest pain.
•Hoarseness.
•Losing weight without trying.
•Bone pain.
•Headache.

Causes
•Smoking causes the majority of lung cancers — both in smokers and in people exposed to secondhand smoke. But lung cancer also occurs in people who never smoked and in those who never had prolonged exposure to secondhand smoke. In these cases, there may be no clear cause of lung cancer.

How smoking causes lung cancer
•Doctors believe smoking causes lung cancer by damaging the cells that line the lungs. When you inhale cigarette smoke, which is full of cancer-causing substances (carcinogens), changes in the lung tissue begin almost immediately.

Types of lung cancer
•Doctors divide lung cancer into two major types based on the appearance of lung cancer cells under the microscope.
•"Small cell lung cancer". Small cell lung cancer occurs almost exclusively in heavy smokers and is less common than non-small cell lung cancer.
•"Non-small cell lung cancer". Non-small cell lung cancer is an umbrella term for several types of lung cancers. Non-small cell lung cancers include squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma and large cell carcinoma.

Complications
•Shortness of breath.
•Coughing up blood.
•Pain.
•Fluid in the chest (pleural effusion).
•Cancer that spreads to other parts of the body (metastasis). Lung cancer often spreads (metastasizes) to other parts of the body, such as the brain and the bones.

Prevention
•Don't smoke.
•Stop smoking.
•Avoid secondhand smoke.
•Test your home for radon.
•Avoid carcinogens at work.
•Eat a diet full of fruits and vegetables.
•Exercise most days of the week.
