Our Story

We started this journey after experiencing how difficult it is for our beloved grandmother to adapt to living life without sight.

Even with a white cane, our beloved grandmother, who had lost her vision due to glaucoma and cataracts, bumps into everyday obstacles such as tables and chairs.

Passionate about solving the mobility and navigation challenges faced by the blind and visually impaired community and the drive of not wanting others to be in the spot as our beloved grandmother is in, we founded Wangi Lai PLT.

Wangi Lai PLT, developed BAWA Cane, a revolutionary clip-on module for existing white canes, to help the blind and visually impaired community with obstacle identification and avoidance with shared insights and foresight through data analytics.
