Lateral extension is not a stretch for length,
but an expansion for clarity.
It opens space between the ribs,
between the breath and the thought,
between what is known and what is possible.
Through the side body, we find balance between effort and grace.
When side extend, the spine lifts naturally —
and awareness flows like breath through every cell.

当我走进艾扬格瑜伽的世界,才明白“支撑”不是依赖,而是智慧。
砖、带、墙壁、老师的引导—它们在我尚不能自立时,稳稳地托住了我。
在循序渐进的练习中,我体会到 - 对齐就是疗愈。
每一个体式、每一次呼吸, 都是与身体的对话;
在倾听与调整中,紧绷得以释放,混乱得以平衡。
而在这过程中, 我也找到了瑜伽真正的守护: 带着觉知去行动。

艾扬格瑜伽不追求速度,它守护身体, 也守护心。
它教我们用智慧去动, 用耐心去深, 用觉知去安。
支撑,让我有了勇气;
疗愈,让我回到平衡;
守护,让我得以自由。

In our studio, Iyengar Yoga is both our foundation and our focus.
It emphasizes precision, alignment, and the mindful use of props,
allowing every student to explore the body’s limits safely

We do not blend other yoga traditions,
for we believe that depth comes from focus,
and progress grows from respect and continuity.

Support · Treatment · Safeguard
support is not weakness — it’s wisdom.
The props, the wall, the teacher’s voice — they held me until I could hold myself.
Through steady practice, I learned that alignment is treatment.
Each pose, when practiced with precision and awareness, became a dialogue with the body — a way to listen, to release, to heal.
And in that process, I found the true safeguard of yoga: mindfulness in action.
Iyengar Yoga doesn’t rush. It protects. It teaches you to move with intelligence, to feel every layer of being without harm.
Support gives courage.
Treatment gives balance.
Safeguard gives freedom.
That is the Iyengar way.

作为练习者,我们决定在体式或调息练习中何时使用道具。根据我们对道具用途的了解,我们决定引入哪种类型的道具、使用多少个道具、以何种组合方式使用,并判断道具的摆放方式以及我们与道具的相对位置。

老师可能会根据他们的知识和经验为我们决定这些事情,或者他们也可能让那些经验和知识足够丰富的学生根据个人情况决定使用什么道具以及如何使用它们。 在任何情况下,重要的是合理使用道具,而这正是需要讨论的。武断地使用或放弃使用道具都是没有意义的。两者都是轻率的行为。我们不应该沉迷于道具。我们也不应该沉迷于或执着于不使用道具。无论哪种方式,都可能阻碍我们的练习及其发展。我们可能认为“没有道具等于更大的独立性”,但也可能恰恰相反,“没有道具等于更差的独立性”。

比我们是否使用道具更重要的是我们主观智慧、主观思维和直觉的发展。道具可以激发直觉。直觉教会我们技巧:这不仅是老师提醒我们如何发展技巧。直觉的激发是学习的重要组成部分……发展出完美的觉知、智慧和自由。
