New to sof? This month we are softening into our practice, not forcing it. It can be nerve wrecking to try something new but we promise, it will be a heart warming experience, book a class and don’t worry about mats, we have the best in the market and we mean it.

What does it mean to sof-ten? Listen to the body, meet yourself where you are at, at that exact moment and honor your journey. It’s normal to feel the urge to force our way into movement & progress. But trust us when we say, soften into the practice rather than force it. Let us show how listening to your body will develop long term results.

So here’s a little mid-month reminder, softie đŸ€“ Ready to keep working on it? Come practise with us on our favourite mats ~

Still working on your crow pose? Here’s some guidance from our yoga instructor Pris O 🐩‍⬛

Crow isn’t just about lifting your feet. It’s about learning how to shift your weight with control.

Here’s two block variations you’ll see!

Using one yoga block - Place it in front of you and gently lean forward til your forehead reach the block. The block gives you a focal point to shift your weight forward.

Using two yoga blocks - Lean your weight forward til your shoulders comes onto the block, then actively push push push away from the floor! Oh and remember to round your back!!

Not there yet? There’s variations of crow such as baby crow and funky crow too!

I encourage you to explore ways that you feel comfortable entering into arm balances. Keep practicing and I shall see you in class!
