Genesis Therapy & Development Centre Occupational Therapy GENESIS is the first private paediatric therapy centre in Kluang. At GENESIS, we firmly believe that it’s never too late to seek help.

Being the pioneer in this town, we envision to impact and serve the community by supporting children with special needs/developmental delays and their families. Currently, we provide Occupational Therapy (OT) services and Early Intervention Programme (EIP) for children with (but not limited to) Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Learning Difficulties, Global Developmental Delay, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Genetic Disorders, Sensory Integration and Processing Issues, Social and Communication Issues, Behavioural and Emotional Issues, and so forth (even those without any specific diagnosis but displays slight developmental delays in certain aspects). We recognize that every child is unique, with different strengths and weaknesses. Based on the child’s individualized strengths, needs and goals, we tailor our therapy programmes to help maximize his/her potential in self-care, play and school performance. Once a comprehensive assessment is carried out with your child, our therapy sessions are designed in a way that is individualized to your child’s needs and our therapists integrate clinical expertise and best practices to assist your child achieve his/her goals. In our practice, we utilize various evidenced based methods and approaches such as Sensory Integration (SI), Developmental, Individual Difference, Relationship-based (DIR) Floortime, Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT),Social Thinking, Handwriting Programme and so forth based on what will work best for your child and family. We strongly believe that family involvement and support is vital to the success of a child’s therapy programme. Thus, we highly encourage the active participation of parents and caregivers in our sessions. Additionally, we collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, doctors, and school teachers. We aspire to create an inclusive community in which families, schools and healthcare organizations work together for the well being and betterment of children. 🌟 Exciting News for Parents of 4 – 6 Year Olds! 🌟

We’re excited to bring PEERS® for Preschoolers to you - a 16-week, evidence-based social skills program, offered through a collaboration between Genesis Therapy & Development Centre and 维栎特殊教育工作室 Whaley Special Education.

👧🧒 For children aged 4 - 6 years
(Early primary school children may also express interest; placement will be based on pre-screening)

🎭 Through play-based activities like puppet shows, role-play, and guided play, children build skills to:
✔ Take turns and share
✔ Engage in cooperative play and teamwork
✔ Recognise and navigate emotions
✔ Practise good sportsmanship and problem-solving

Parent Involvement: Parents join simultaneous coaching sessions to learn strategies that support and reinforce skills at home.

新的一年，Genesis Therapy & Development Centre 将与 Whaley Special Education Centre 联合主办 PEERS® 学前儿童社交技能课程。本课程为期 16 周，是一项以实证为基础的社交技能课程，旨在系统性地提升儿童的社交沟通与互动能力。

👧🧒 适合对象：4–6 岁儿童
（小学低年级孩童家长如有兴趣，亦可提交报名表；最终录取结果将依据预筛选评估结果而定。）

🎭 课程将通过游戏为基础的活动，如玩偶戏、角色扮演及引导式游戏，孩子将学习并发展以下技能：
✔ 轮流与分享
✔ 合作游戏与团队合作
✔ 识别与调节情绪
✔ 良好运动精神与问题解决能力

👨‍👩‍👧 家长参与：
家长需同时参加家长指导课程，学习实用的指导策略，在家中及日常生活中持续练习，以强化孩子的社交技能

It’s been 2 weeks since we settled into our new space, and we’re so excited to finally share it with you! 💙

From 8th September 2025, Genesis Therapy & Development Centre has been operating at our new location:
