𝗨𝗦𝗠 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗖𝗔𝗘) 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗜 – 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

The first session of the 2025 Continuous Audiology Education (CAE) Series was successfully held on Thursday, 22 May 2025. The event brought together audiology students and staff for a day filled with learning, hands-on experience, and meaningful engagement. The day began with a lively ice-breaking session, followed by insightful presentations from Demant on the latest innovations in hearing aid technology – Oticon & Bernafon.

In the afternoon, participants joined practical hands-on sessions, gaining real-world experience and deeper insights into the technology in an interactive learning environment.

👏 Congratulations to all winning student groups for their outstanding participation and teamwork during the sessions. Well done!
Sincere thanks to Demant for their collaboration and contribution to audiology education at USM, and to everyone who made the event a great success.

Congratulations to Our Final Year Audiology Students!

We’re so proud of our Year 4 students from the Audiology Programme, School of Health Sciences, USM who took the leap and participated in the 7th Malaysian Audiology Scientific Conference (MASCO 2025) held on 17–18 May 2025 in Penang!

Despite being in the middle of their busy final year, 12 students courageously joined the competition for e-Poster Presentation and 3-Minute Pitching, showcasing their final year projects. And guess what? Three of them brought home awards! We are delighted to share the remarkable achievements of our students at the recent academic competition:

🏆 First Place – 3-Minute Pitching
Miss Nurul Anis Nabilah Rosji emerged as the champion with her presentation titled “Unveiling the Effect of Stimulus Type on Masseter Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potential (mVEMP)”, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohd Normani Zakaria.

🥉 Third Place – 3-Minute Pitching
Miss Anisa Mohamad Rosli secured third place with her project, “The Masseter Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potential (mVEMP) Elicited by Different Types of Chirp Stimuli: A Comparative Study”, also supervised by Prof. Dr. Mohd Normani Zakaria.

🥉 Third Place – e-Poster Presentation
Miss Kamalin Mastura Mohd Yahya received recognition for her work titled “Preliminary Findings: Suppression Effect of Contralateral Mobile Application-Based Sound Therapy Among Adults with Tinnitus”, supervised by Dr. Wan Najibah Wan Mohamad.

Heartiest congratulations to all three students and their supervisors for their dedication and excellence in research! 🌟
Not to forget, our heartfelt thanks go to the students, dedicated lecturers and staff participated in this event— especially to Dr. Mohd Fadzil Nor Rahid, who energized and catalyzed the entire initiative.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻

Pada 27hb April 2025 (Ahad) yang lalu, Program Audiologi Pusat Pengajian Sains Kesihatan USM telah dijemput sebagai rakan kolaborasi oleh Yayasan Pelangi Malaysia bagi Program Saringan Pendengaran Industri bertempat di Roadcare Kelantan.

Seramai 52 orang kakitangan Roadcare telah menjalani saringan pendengaran dalam program ini bersama pelajar & pensyarah Program Audiologi PPSK USM.
