Tongue tie

Tongue-tie (ankyloglossia) is a congenital condition where a short, thick, or tight lingual frenulum restricts tongue movement, commonly causing breastfeeding difficulties, speech issues, and oral hygiene problems. It is diagnosed via physical examination showing limited tongue protrusion or a heart-shaped tongue tip.

In a baby, we often finds difficulty in latching, prolonged feeding, clicking sounds, slow weight gain, and maternal ni**le pain/damage.
