It’s the time for giving. Christmas isn’t just about the presents and the Christmas lights. It’s about love, giving and care. It’s about being there for those who have no one and doing it whole heartedly. We had the pleasure of visiting Sri Pritchard Old Folks Home earlier this week and it was the best time. Thank you to Kota Kinabalu for being part of this Christmas cheer. This Christmas, if anything, doing good and being there for others is the best gift you could give. The gift of your time. Saya ingin menyuarakan rasa ketidakpuasan hati terhadap kerja-kerja saliran yang baru-baru ini dijalankan oleh DBKK di kawasan kami.

Perangkap sampah (gridded manhole) yang baru dipasang tidak sesuai dan dibiarkan terdedah, menyebabkan bau busuk kumbahan yang kuat di persekitaran. Air juga bertakung, jelas menunjukkan bahawa masalah saliran serta punca utamanya tidak diselesaikan dengan baik.

Kami membayar cukai taksiran dan mengharapkan sistem saliran asas yang berfungsi bukan mutu kerja seperti ini. DBKK perlu segera menyemak semula tapak, mengenal pasti punca sebenar, dan membaiki kerja tersebut dengan betul supaya peniaga/pesakit serta sesiapa yg ada disekeliling dapat hidup dalam persekitaran yang indah dan bersih.
