“Hands That Care, Tools That Serve”
On this Labour Day, we honour the art,
Of healing hands and a giving heart.
From quiet wards to kitchens warm,
Care takes shape in every form.
The stethoscope listens, soft and near,
To every heartbeat, every fear.
A blood pressure monitor, steady and true,
Keeps watch on life in all we do.
The oximeter glows with a gentle light,
Measuring breaths through day and night.
A syringe, precise in careful hands,
Delivers hope where healing stands.
Beside them rests the kitchen’s grace,
A whisk that dances in gentle pace,
A spatula turning meals with care,
A knife preparing love to share.
For wellness lives in what we make,
In every meal, in every break.
From ward to stove, their purpose clear
To comfort, nourish, and draw us near.
So here’s to every unseen role,
Every quiet task that makes us whole.
On this day, we stand and say:
Thank you for your work, this Labour Day.
