🤝 Reconnecting, Reflecting, and Rising Together — JDN MASEAN Meeting 2025

On 1 November 2025, the Junior Doctors Network (JDN) Malaysia took part in the JDN MASEAN virtual meeting, our first gathering since the memorable physical meeting in Chonburi, Bangsaen, Thailand (July 2025).

Representatives from across the ASEAN region came together once again to share updates, exchange ideas, and strengthen our collective commitment to junior doctors’ welfare, education, and leadership. 🌿💬

From cross-border collaborations to mental health advocacy and future training initiatives, the meeting reminded us that while our contexts differ, our mission remains the same — to elevate, empower, and unite junior doctors across ASEAN.

Here’s to continued partnership, solidarity, and progress beyond borders. 💙

🌿 Healing in Action at the National Planning Congress 2025 🌿

The Malaysian Medical Association (MMA), together with the Junior Doctors Network (JDN) Malaysia, proudly represented Balai Ikhtisas Malaysia (BIM) in providing Basic Health Screenings during the prestigious National Planning Congress 2025.

Held over two days — 28th and 30th October 2025 — our dedicated volunteers offered free screenings and health advice to participants, fostering awareness and preventive care among professionals from diverse fields. 🩺💙

A heartfelt thank you to all who made this possible:
👩🏻‍⚕️ Our volunteer doctors and medical students for their service and compassion
🙌 The MMA staff team for their unwavering support

Honoured to have attended my very first MMA SCHOMOS National Working Committee (NWC) Meeting as a representative of the Junior Doctors Network (JDN) Malaysia. 💙

Deepest thanks to the SCHOMOS leadership and the MMA National EXCO for the warm welcome and continuous support towards our initiatives.

JDN remains committed to working hand-in-hand with SCHOMOS, medical schools, and the wider MMA community to elevate, empower, and unite junior doctors nationwide — from Klang Valley to Borneo, from our city hospitals to rural clinics.

Here’s to a new term of collaboration, solidarity, and shared purpose in strengthening the voice and wellbeing of Malaysia’s future medical leaders. 🌿💪

Bullying has no place in healing spaces.

It doesn’t always look like shouting — sometimes it’s exclusion, humiliation, or quiet cruelty.

With the Penal Code (Amendment) Act 2025 now making workplace bullying a criminal offence in Malaysia, the message is clear:
No one should suffer in silence.

Victims now have legal avenues for justice — they can lodge police reports, seek protection under the law, and have their experiences recognised as offences punishable by law.

But change doesn’t start with punishment alone — it starts with awareness, compassion, and the courage to speak up.
