Asana (yoga postures) is a central pillar of the 200hrs YTT, thoughtfully integrated with anatomy & physiology, philosophy, meditation & pranayama, teaching methodology, and professional development.
You will be guided through over 100 asanas — from foundational standing poses to hip openers, twists, backbends, arm balances, and inversions. Each posture is approached with intention, including its Sanskrit name and the deeper purpose behind the practice.
The programme is carefully designed to build a strong, intelligent foundation, supporting a progressive evolution from fundamental work to more advanced expressions. Emphasis is placed on precision, alignment, and embodied awareness.
Through this process, you will develop a refined eye for alignment, the ability to recognise patterns of misalignment, and the confidence to apply hands-on adjustments with clarity and sensitivity. With the understanding that every body is unique, the training encourages an adaptive and responsive approach to teaching.
By integrating anatomical knowledge with the mechanics of each posture, you will cultivate a teaching approach that is safe, intentional, and deeply effective.
