Not all knee pain looks the same on X-ray 👀
In this comparison, you can see how a healthier knee joint space looks more preserved, while a knee with osteoarthritis may show:
🦴 narrowing of the joint space
🦴 bone spur formation
🦴 more bony changes over time
‼️ ‼️‼️ One important thing to remember: pain does not always match the X-ray exactly. Some people have significant pain with small changes, while others may show bigger changes and feel less pain.
That’s why assessment matters ✅
We don’t just look at the X-ray — we also look at your movement, strength, symptoms, and daily function.
The good news?
Knee OA management is not only about “waiting until it gets worse.” Early guidance, strengthening, exercise, and the right management plan can make a big difference.
If your knees have been feeling stiff, painful, or noisy when walking, squatting, or using stairs, it may be time to get them checked.
