Well done Sanjay et al! Congratulations and !
For Nephrology community, membranous GN is associated with high risk of renal vein thrombosis that leads to AKI. Traditional treatment has been very watch and wait policy to allow clot dissolve and flow re-establish by anticoagulant that increase risk of bleeding.
However, anticoagulant takes time to dissolve the RVT hence making the injury longer and if recovered, the patient might have residual damage and subsequent CKD.
In our centre, we doesnt allow that to happen, we intervene early, restablish the flow and anticoagulate. This is the novel technique to reduce the residual damage or ongoing worsening AKI.
