Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur is proud to support the development of future Nuclear Medicine professionals. As part of a 21-day MOH–BKRP training programme, we are currently hosting Patrick Raj from the National Cancer Society for hands-on clinical training.

Nuclear Medicine uses advanced imaging such as PET-CT and SPECT-CT, along with targeted radionuclide therapy, to support early cancer detection, accurate staging, treatment planning, and monitoring.

Under the guidance of our multidisciplinary Nuclear Medicine team, Patrick is gaining practical exposure in imaging, therapeutic workflows, radiation safety, and quality control—seeing firsthand how Nuclear Medicine delivers precise, patient-centred cancer care.

RSV is the leading cause of hospitalisation in the first year of life worldwide.

While RSV often looks like a common cold, the risk is higher for newborns and babies under 12 months — especially preterm infants.

Parents, keep an eye out for these warning signs:
• Persistent or worsening cough

Bleeding during pregnancy can mean different things at different stages.

🩸 Early pregnancy:
Spotting may be due to implantation or cervical changes, but heavier bleeding can signal miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy.

🩸 Later pregnancy:
Bleeding may be linked to placenta previa, placental abruption, cervical changes, or signs of labour.
