A simple meal can turn into a life-threatening emergency in seconds.

Most people have heard the word anaphylaxis, but not everyone knows what it actually is or what to do when it happens. Watch as we ask the public what they know, and find out what you should do if it ever strikes.

If you or someone around you shows signs of a severe allergic reaction, call an ambulance or head straight to A&E immediately.

Hypoglycaemia, or low blood sugar, can happen suddenly and may become serious if not managed quickly.

Common symptoms like dizziness, sweating, or confusion should not be ignored. Recognising these signs early and responding promptly can help to prevent complications ⚠️

Simple steps such as giving a quick source of sugar and monitoring the person closely can make a significant difference.

If symptoms do not improve, seek medical attention immediately 🚑

From protein-rich tempe, to fibre-packed ulam, and heart-healthy ikan kembung, these nutrient-rich local foods are naturally low in calories.

How you prepare them matters too, opt for grilling, steaming, or light cooking to preserve their nutritional benefits.

Start small, eat better, and make healthier choices part of your daily routine. 💙

A stroke isn't just an event. It's a cascade, and every minute counts 🧠

Knowing the BEFAST signs could be the difference between recovery and permanent damage.

Balance. Eyes. Face. Arms. Speech. Time.

If you spot any of these signs, call for an ambulance immediately. Don't wait!

A simple meal can turn into an emergency in seconds.

If someone suddenly can’t breathe or speak, knowing what to do matters. Encourage coughing if they can, but if they can’t, act quickly with back blows and abdominal thrusts.

And if they become unresponsive, begin CPR right away.

These are simple steps, but in the moment, they can save a life.

“I didn’t think it was serious.”

It’s something we hear a lot. But sometimes, what feels minor can be worth checking especially if symptoms feel different, persist, or just don’t seem right.

Things like chest discomfort, dizziness, unusual fatigue, or sudden pain may not always be urgent, but they shouldn’t be ignored either.

Our A&E teams are here to assess both major and minor concerns, so you can get clarity and the care you need.

No emergency is too small. We’re ready for you. Always.
