Dopamine drives pursuit not pleasure. It’s anticipation.

Try notice how you feel after:
• scrolling for a while
•eating something very sweet
•moving quickly from one thing to the next

There’s often a small lift.
A moment of stimulation.

And then something quieter.

Restlessness.
A dip in energy.
The urge to reach again.

This isn’t weakness.
It’s how the brain’s reward system works.

When stimulation is constant, sensitivity can soften. Attention becomes scattered.

Fasting gently interrupts that pattern.

Less input.
More contrast.
More awareness.
