Nicotine Addiction Research & Collaborating Centre - NARCC Nicotine Addiction Research & Collaborating Centre (NARCC) specializes in smoking cessation research in Malaysia

NARCC is a research center within the University Malaya Center on Addiction Sciences (UMCAS). It is the primary research group in University Malaya undertaking studies in smoking cessation. It is a center established in response to Article 12 & 14 of the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC) of which Malaysia is a signatory since 2005. Members of NARCC are tobacco control researchers across Malaysia from various institutions and disciplines of study. Mission
To promote knowledge, understanding and management in nicotine addiction

Vision
To be a nationally and internationally recognized center of excellence in research, publication, training and collaboration in nicotine addiction

Objectives
To be the main center for research on nicotine addiction in Malaysia
To be the main innovator in training in smoking cessation programs
To collaborate with national and international bodies in smoking cessation
To promote the publication of research activities in nicotine addiction
