15/2/2026 : Chinese New Year Cheers at P5A Ward, the children of P5A Ward were delighted by a surprise visit from Kai Wei, who was treated at PPUM in 2018.

Accompanied by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Tay, and her brother, the family brought along thoughtful gifts — 16 colorful stationery pouches to spread joy and festive cheer.

The children’s smiles lit up the ward as the Tay family shared the spirit of Chinese New Year, turning the day into a celebration of kindness, reunion, and hope. Their gesture was a heartfelt reminder that the season is not only about traditions, but also about giving and uplifting one another.

11/2/2026 : In conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year, CARES organized a festive activity that brought joy and creativity to Ward P5A. Participants were given DIY craft kits to make horse figures, symbolizing strength and vitality for the year ahead.

To sweeten the celebration, each craft set was accompanied by lollipops, biscuits and jelly, adding a cheerful treat to the occasion. The combination of hands-on crafting and delightful snacks created a warm, engaging atmosphere that encouraged togetherness and festive spirit.

This initiative not only celebrated cultural traditions but also fostered creativity, bonding and shared happiness among participants.

4/2/2026 : Today was filled with smiles and laughter at the ward as we shared a fun time together. Children received DIY craft packs, small toys, UNO cards for the teenagers, colorful balloons, and lollipops for everyone. The atmosphere was bright and lively, with joy shining on every face.

A special highlight was celebrating the birthday of one of our teenagers. He was gifted a thoughtful present and surprised with an instant photo taken with his mother, creating a beautiful memory they can cherish forever.

The day was all about spreading happiness, encouragement, and love — a reminder that even small gestures can bring big smiles.

17/12/2025 : Today marked the final Wednesday session for our CARES volunteer group before we pause for the Christmas and New Year festive season.

The ward was quiet, with only four patients, but we, Hoon, Ruthe & Jessie were still able to bring a little cheer by gifting each of them a Christmas present along with a packet of confectionery. It was a simple gesture, yet it added a touch of warmth to the ward as we wrapped up our final playroom opening for the year.

🐰✨ In the spirit of Christmas giving, CARES also took the opportunity to present 30 Bunny Rabbit Plush Toy Soft Sleeping Pillows in cheerful green and yellow to Dr. Foo Jen Chun for the children at daycare. These cuddly companions are sure to bring warmth, comfort, and big smiles to the little ones this festive season.

šŸŽ This joyful gesture was made possible through the generous donation of Ms. Kirthana, whose kindness helped spread even more love and festive cheer to children who deserve it most. Her contribution truly added an extra touch of magic to this season of giving.
