Malaysia, unlike Singapore, doesn’t have a national schools screening program for Scoliosis so you need to do this for your kids at home. Starting from the age of 9. It’s a really easy test to do without any scoliometer. You can download one on your phone if you want to. But just getting your child to bend over so you can check for any curves as in this picture is a good start. I do this for free at our Hartamas clinic. The key to treating scoliosis is to discover it as early as you can.

It’s really important to check your child for scoliosis, and pretty easy to do too. Malaysia doesn’t have a national schools screening program so it’s important to do this at home. Even if you don’t have the scoliometer gadget. Look for uneven shoulders and a hump when your child bends forwards. We do free scoliosis screening at our clinic. 0362049100.
