Twists are not just about turning the body, they create space from within.

When we gently rotate the spine, we stimulate the internal organs, support digestion, and help release built-up tension around the torso. Twisting also improves spinal mobility, keeping the back feeling supple and supported. They might look simple, but they do a lot behind the scenes, especially helpful if you spend long hours sitting.

Some simple and beginner-friendly twisting poses include:
• Supine Twist (Supta Matsyendrasana)
• Seated Spinal Twist (Ardha Matsyendrasana)
• Revolved Child’s Pose
• Easy seated twist
• Low lunge twist

The key to a safe and effective twist isn’t how far you turn, but how well you lengthen your spine first. Think of creating space before rotating.

Move slowly. Breathe steadily. Let the twist unfold naturally instead of forcing it.

Sometimes, the most powerful shifts happen through the smallest, most mindful movements.
