Many patients come to CVSKL feeling unsure about their condition or the next steps. We take the time to explain things clearly, answer questions, and make sure discussions are calm and unhurried.
Care is delivered thoughtfully at every stage, from consultation through follow-up, with decisions made based on what is appropriate for each patient.
We appreciate the trust placed in our Consultant Cardiologist, Dr Jayakhanthan Kolanthaivelu, and the CVSKL team, and we take that responsibility seriously.
This is the approach we take at CVSKL, where every cardiac care is guided by clarity, experience, and considered decision-making.

As we continue to manage increasingly complex cardiac cases, the need for advanced imaging, safer workflows and greater procedural precision becomes ever more critical. What may appear as technical specifications or minor adjustments to most are, in reality, essential tools that support confident clinical decision making.
In complex heart disease, nothing is ever straightforward. Calcified coronary arteries, complex heart anatomy and overlapping stents make visualisation more challenging. Every pulse of radiation, every frame per second and every degree of image rotation plays a role in determining clarity and accuracy, shaping what we see and what we might miss. These details, though often unseen, directly impact procedural safety and outcomes for patients.
Our Consultant Cardiologists, Dr Jayakhanthan Kolanthaivelu, Dr Al Fazir Omar and Dr Wan Faizal Wan Rahimi Shah, share how these technical enhancements are not merely engineering upgrades, but meaningful clinical advantages that play a critical role in the management of complex cardiac cases.
At CVSKL, this marks the start of something new. More than an upgrade in infrastructure, Cath Lab 3 represents our continued commitment to advancing knowledge, refining techniques and investing in tools that translate directly into better outcomes for the patients we serve.

A recent case in our cath lab brought our Consultant Cardiologists together for a complex calcium modification procedure using the LithiX Mechanical Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) system. Dr Jayakhanthan Kolanthaivelu, Dr Al Fazir, and Datuk Dr Rosli Mohd Ali led the intervention on a patient with three-vessel disease and multiple comorbidities — a case requiring careful judgement and close coordination with the entire clinical team.
The case was streamed during the 7th CHIP-CTO India 2026 conference, where the team shared their approach and insights with peers, followed by an engaging discussion with the panel.
A meaningful reminder that behind every complex procedure is a team built on trust, preparation and experience.
