In conjunction with World Cancer Day, Prince Court Medical Centre, in partnership with Teal Asia, the country’s first peer-to-peer cervical cancer support movement, hosted “Let’s Talk Cervical Cancer” - a meaningful session dedicated to awareness, prevention, treatment and the emotional support every woman deserves.

The session brought together Prince Court medical expertise from panellists Dr. Shilpa Nambiar, Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist and Dr. Lavannia Rajaratenam, Consultant Clinical Oncologist, who shared valuable insights to empower both women and men to make informed decisions about their health.

Participants were also deeply moved by the sharing sessions by Ms. Selina Yeop Jr., cervical cancer survivor, Founder of Teal Asia and WHO-recognised patient advocate, alongside our very own Ms. Chok Soo Sim, Prince Court Physiotherapist, who courageously shared their personal journeys.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to Teal Asia for their continued advocacy and partnership in spreading awareness and supporting those affected by cervical cancer.

We are honoured to welcome Dr Faizal Manan, Consultant Orthopaedic and Spine Surgeon, to Prince Court Medical Centre!

Dr Faizal obtained his medical degree from Trinity College Dublin and a Master of Orthopaedic Surgery from the University of Malaya. He subsequently completed advanced subspecialty training in Advanced Spinal Surgery at the AO Spine and EUROSPINE Spine Centre in Ireland, with a focus on 3D navigation assisted, robotic assisted and microsurgical spine procedures.

Registered with the National Specialist Register, Dr Faizal provides comprehensive spine services, including minimally invasive spine surgery, spinal deformity correction and trauma, as well as spinal oncology and complex spine reconstruction.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Faizal is actively involved in education and training, playing a key role in shaping future spine surgeons through mentorship and specialist instruction.

Prince Court recently went green as we hosted an inspiring Veganuary event in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, exploring the transformative power of plant-based nutrition and the time-honored health benefits of fermented foods. We were honored to have Ms. Barbara Kosińska, First Secretary of the Polish Embassy, open the session alongside our Deputy Medical Director, Dr. Siva Perumal, setting the stage for an afternoon where science met tradition.​

The session offered a holistic look at wellness, beginning with our Dietitian, Ms. Kong Pun Pun, who shared evidence-based insights on the vital role a plant-based diet plays in disease prevention. This clinical perspective was perfectly complemented by vegan advocate Ms. Anna Lees, who guided us through the rich science and heritage of Polish fermented foods before bringing the room to life with a vibrant live cooking demonstration.​
