Prince Court Medical Centre marked World Diabetes Day 2025 with a meaningful programme that brought together general practitioners (GPs) and the public to learn, share and gain a holistic understanding of diabetes.

In collaboration with the Malaysian Family Medicine Specialists’ Association (FMSA Malaysia), the CME health talk covered a range of crucial topics affecting individuals living with diabetes — from male and female diabetic health to recognising heart-related risks within the diabetic community.

Prince Court proudly served as the healthcare partner for the inaugural Global Public Relations Conference and Festival 2025, supporting a smooth and safe experience for delegates from Malaysia and across the region. Our Emergency Team, Ambulance and Malaysia’s first Electric Motorcycle Ambulance were on standby throughout the three-day programme to ensure timely medical support when required, and our clinical team was on-site to provide health screenings for delegates.

We were deeply honoured when His Royal Highness Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah Al-Maghfur-Lah, Sultan of Perak Darul Ridzuan, and Her Royal Highness Tengku Permaisuri Hajah Norashikin Abdul Rahman, Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor, visited our booth. Their presence was a memorable highlight that reinforced Prince Court’s ongoing commitment to delivering trusted medical readiness at major regional events.

We were also pleased to welcome leading voices from the media industry, including Media Prima Deputy Group Managing Editor Farrah Naz Karim and prominent media personality Datuk Jake Abdullah.

From Japan to Kuala Lumpur, Mr Feng Qi and Ms Etsuko Nakamura made a special journey back to Prince Court Medical Centre. They returned, years later, with one purpose in mind, to personally thank the clinical team who gave him a second chance at life.

After a severe car accident, Mr Feng Qi developed a life threatening infection that left him in critical condition. Our multidisciplinary team, led by Dr Yeap Ewe Juan, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, faced a complex and urgent clinical decision. Guided by deep expertise, the team recommended a crucial amputation to stop the infection and save his life.

With steadfast support from Ms Nakamura, Mr Feng Qi proceeded with the life-saving intervention. The precision of the amputation, performed by Dr Yeap, was later commended by his prosthetics team in Japan, who noted that the surgical accuracy greatly supported a smooth and successful prosthetic fitting, rehabilitation and long-term mobility.

Today, Mr Feng Qi walks confidently, enjoys sports and embraces each day with renewed purpose. Their return to Prince Court was a heartfelt moment of gratitude, underscoring the profound impact of expert, compassionate care.

“My life has truly changed. With the support of the doctors and nurses, I was able to get through the most difficult time. We are so happy to come back to Prince Court, the place that saved my life,” shared Mr Feng Qi.
