250 clinical case samples which include 115 confirmed case samples and 135 confirmed excluded case samples, were obtained for testing and then compared the test results between Watmind SARS-CoV-2 IgG/IgM Ab Diagnostic Test Kit(Colloidal Gold) and a commercial SARS-CoV-2 IgG/IgM kit with CFDA registration certificate. The results of sensitivity and specificity are show below. The sensitivity of IgG is 96.52%, the specificity is 98.52%, and the sensitivity of IgM is 94.07%, the specificity is 97.73%.

Detection of Serum Antibody for Covid-19 patient :

The current procedure is when PT-PCR negative at 1st day (closed contact with positive patient who send to 14 days quarantine), at day 13 the person need to test for antibody to rule out. If the antibody is positive, repeat with RT-PCR. The positive antibody means this person infected with the viral hence immune system response to it.

Specific antibodies are produced after SARS-CoV-2 infection. Serum antibody determination methods include colloidal gold immunochromatography, ELISA, chemiluminescence immunoassay, etc. Positive serum-specific IgM, or specific IgG antibody titer in the recovery phase ≥4 times higher than that in the acute phase, can be used as diagnostic criteria for suspected patients with negative nucleic acid detection. During follow-up monitoring, IgM is detectable 10 days after symptom onset and IgG is detectable 12 days after symptom onset. The viral load gradually decreases with the increase of serum antibody levels.

This is the thing we do part of AMD, Advanced Medical Diagnostics team to help front-liner fight against this Covid-19 viral infection. By having Full Blood Count, Point-Of-Care Testing in hospital using closed mode application, it will enhancing less contamination sampling esp. running Covid-19 patient samples. We do supporting HCP by running around in hospital & laboratory despite during MCO because I believe we can be part of the spirit even though we are facing some difficulty & risk. This is the best CSR I could think of.

RT-PCR Covid-19 Positive:

Nucleic acid testing is the preferred method for diagnosing SARS-CoV-2 infection. The testing process according to the kit instructions is as follows:
Specimens are pre-processed, and the virus is lysed to extract nucleic acids. The three specific genes of SARS-CoV-2, namely the Open Reading Frame 1a/b (ORF1a/b), nucleocapsid protein (N), and envelope protein (E) genes, are then amplified by real-time quantitative PCR technology. The amplified genes are detected by fluorescence intensity. Criteria of positive nucleic acid results are: ORF1a/b gene is positive, and/or N gene/E gene are positive.
