Before we get into the mainstream,
Here are the fun facts about the Occupational therapy.
We focus on ‘occupations’ which have multiple meanings. For children, their main occupation is playing along with dressing/grooming/feeding skills, writing, socializing, and many more.
Normally, paediatric occupational therapist always works (aka PLAY) with children who diagnosed a wide range in Autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, traumatic brain injuries, premature infants, and many more.

Besides, in a school setting, an occupational therapist’s role is to support students
towards academic achievement and encourage positive behaviours that are necessary for learning. The main objective of school-based occupational therapy is to support the students to master academic skills in mathematics, reading and writing as well as nonacademic skills such as social interaction, behaviour management and participation in sports. Unfortunately, schools in Malaysia have not implemented school-based occupational therapy. (Zaid et al., 2021)
Let's don't feel discouraged yet, things will improve time by time, at least we can acknowledge it sooner. When there is a will, there is a way. ☺️
