SMCV marked World Diabetes Day with a meaningful Diabetes Awareness Day event yesterday. We were honoured to have our CEO, Ms Susan Cheow, join and support this important initiative. The event featured an insightful health talk by SMCV’s Head of Endocrinology, Dr Lim Kim Piow, who shared key guidance on managing and preventing diabetes.

Dr Lim Kim Piow and Dr Mak Woh Wei, Consultant Endocrinologist & Internal Medicine Physician, also engaged with participants in an open Q&A session, addressing common concerns within the Malaysian community — from lifestyle management to clarifying misconceptions about diabetes medication. To further support our patients, our dietitian team, diabetic nurses, and event partners provided complimentary consultations, basic health screenings, and exciting lucky draw prizes.

We celebrated Deepavali at Sunway Medical Centre Velocity (SMCV) in the true spirit of unity and togetherness, with our CEO, Ms Susan Cheow, SMCV Senior Management, and SMCV Consultants joining the festivity. The event, organised by our Employee Engagement Committee, brought vibrant colours, warm smiles, and festive cheer as our staffs came together to honour the Festival of Lights.

One of the highlights of the event was the Deepavali Decoration Competition, where our talented staff showcased their creativity through beautiful and intricate designs. Each colourful masterpiece told a story of tradition, artistry, and teamwork — adding a vibrant touch to our hospital’s festive atmosphere.

The celebration was complete with delicious food and warm camaraderie — a true reflection of harmony and shared happiness.

We wrapped up another inspiring Parentcraft Workshop last Sunday — empowering future moms and dads with confidence and practical knowledge through expert insights, live demonstrations, and hands-on activities.
