This is a story of a dream and passion, my dream to live by the sea and my passion for Pandanus weaving. Back in 2010, I came here to this land of Pandanus to view a land but that time I was just able to dream.
In 2020, during covid I came here again with my sisters as another land up for sale. The price is 5 times higher than 10 years before and with covid economy struggles I definitely couldnt afford it. But I told my family, I will not stop dreaming, one day I’m gonna live here. It is just 1 hour driving from my family’s house and I come to this area occasionally for recreation and to resource my Pandanus supply.
2 years ago, after a family trip to Redang island, I decided to stay for a night here and during the stay I met a few wonderful people who live here and found living here quite exciting too. I took it as a sign that I would not give up. Remember my previous IG post, I was given ‘royal welcome’ by the kids playing by the road side. Thats a sign too😅.
4 months ago, I was here for a Family Day trip and I saw an ad LAND FOR SALE! and I knew this was the time.
Today, I am here standing on my land, by the beach, bought by hard earned money😊. A very long journey of dreaming..like people always say DREAMING is FREE, so keep dreaming then…and work for it!
