Recovery doesnโ€™t end after rehab for many, thatโ€™s when anxiety begins. ๐ŸŒง๏ธ

Life after rehab can bring unexpected waves of anxiety. Returning to daily routines, rebuilding relationships, and facing triggers without the structure of treatment can feel overwhelming. This anxiety isnโ€™t a setback itโ€™s a sign of adjustment.

Post-rehab anxiety often stems from fear of relapse or the pressure to โ€œstay strong.โ€ But true recovery allows space for vulnerability, self-compassion, and support. Talking to a therapist, joining peer groups, and maintaining healthy routines can help ease this transition.

Healing takes courage and asking for help after rehab is one of the bravest steps forward.

If you or someone you know is navigating post-rehab anxiety, remember: youโ€™re not failing, youโ€™re still healing.

You donโ€™t have to heal alone; recovery grows stronger in community. ๐Ÿค

Support groups offer more than just conversation; they provide belonging. In addiction recovery, connecting with others who share similar struggles helps break isolation, reduce shame, and keep motivation alive.

Whether itโ€™s a 12-step meeting, peer-led group, or therapist-facilitated circle, these spaces remind you that setbacks are part of progress, not proof of failure. Listening to othersโ€™ journeys can also give perspective, comfort, and hope for your own.

Healing becomes sustainable when itโ€™s shared. Every story told, every hand extended, strengthens the collective path toward recovery.

Looking to start or join a support group? Reach out to a local recovery center; the community might just be your next step forward.

Recovery isnโ€™t the end of the road; itโ€™s the start of a new one. ๐ŸŒฑ

Many people expect peace after rehab, but anxiety often lingers. The transition back into daily life, facing old triggers, rebuilding trust, and redefining identity, can feel overwhelming.

Anxiety post-rehab isnโ€™t a setback; itโ€™s a signal that healing is still unfolding. This stage needs compassion, structure, and continued support, whether through therapy, peer groups, or mindfulness routines that anchor the day.

Recovery doesnโ€™t erase fear overnight. It teaches you how to face it, one breath, one choice, one day at a time.

If you or someone you love is navigating post-rehab anxiety, remember: reaching out for continued help isnโ€™t weakness, itโ€™s wisdom.

Recovery doesnโ€™t happen in isolation; it happens in connection. ๐Ÿ’ฌ

Family plays a powerful role in addiction recovery. Their support can be the difference between relapse and resilience. But support doesnโ€™t mean control, it means learning how to listen, set healthy boundaries, and encourage accountability.

When families educate themselves about addiction as a disease, not a choice, they create an environment of understanding rather than shame. Open communication, empathy, and consistency help rebuild trust that addiction once fractured.

Recovery is a shared journey. When families heal together, lasting change becomes possible.

If your loved one is in recovery, take time to learn, listen, and lean in, your support can make all the difference.

When pleasure becomes pain, itโ€™s time we start the conversation. ๐Ÿ’ญ

P**n and s*x addiction are often misunderstood, hidden behind shame or denial. Yet, for many, they can be as consuming as substance addiction, rewiring the brainโ€™s reward system and impacting relationships, mental health, and self-worth.

The stigma surrounding s*xual compulsivity keeps people from seeking help. But acknowledging it isnโ€™t about judgment, itโ€™s about understanding the underlying pain, loneliness, or trauma that fuels the cycle. Recovery is possible when we approach it with empathy, not blame.

Letโ€™s normalize open, compassionate conversations about s*xual addiction and healing. Speaking out is the first step toward recovery and restoration.

Yesterday, Adj. Prof. Dr. Prem Kumar Shanmugam joined Channel News Asia for a pre-recorded interview on Malaysiaโ€™s under-16 social media ban.

In this insightful conversation, Dr. Prem explored the psychological risks of early social media exposure, including anxiety, body-image issues, and attention problems. While the proposed ban is a step forward, Dr. Prem emphasized the importance of a more comprehensive approach that includes digital literacy, community education, and empowering families to better navigate the challenges of the digital world.

A big thank you to Afifah Ariffin and the team at Channel News Asia for hosting this critical discussion, and to the wonderful Solace Wellbeing team for their continued support in driving these conversations forward!

Stay tuned for the full interview, set to air next year!

When trauma goes untreated, addiction often becomes its shadow. ๐Ÿ’ญ

PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) and addiction often coexist not by coincidence, but by coping. Many turn to substances to numb intrusive memories, anxiety, or hypervigilance caused by trauma. While it may offer temporary relief, it deepens the cycle of pain and dependency.

Recovery from both requires compassion and integrated care. Trauma-focused therapy, safe environments, and trauma-informed addiction programs help individuals rebuild safety and trust both in themselves and the world around them.

Healing trauma and addiction starts with acknowledgment. Reach out. Support recovery that treats the whole person not just the symptoms.

You donโ€™t have to face recovery alone; connection can save lives. ๐Ÿ’ฌ๐Ÿ’›

Finding a support group isnโ€™t just about having people to talk to. Itโ€™s about being understood by those whoโ€™ve walked a similar path, who know the struggles, the setbacks, and the small victories that come with recovery.

Support groups create a safe space to share, listen, and learn. They remind us that relapse doesnโ€™t mean failure and that progress, no matter how small, deserves recognition. Whether in-person or online, connection is one of the most powerful tools in healing from addiction.

If you or someone you know is on the recovery journey, reach out. Join a group. Speak up. Healing begins when we stop walking alone.

Inclusion isnโ€™t charity; itโ€™s equality in action. โ™ฟ๐Ÿ’™

International Day of Persons with Disabilities is a reminder that accessibility, opportunity, and respect are not privileges; theyโ€™re rights. This day highlights the importance of creating environments where every individual, regardless of ability, can thrive without barriers.

Disability inclusion goes beyond ramps and policies, itโ€™s about attitudes, awareness, and genuine representation. Whether in workplaces, schools, or communities, we all have a role in ensuring that people with disabilities are seen, heard, and empowered.

Today, and every day, letโ€™s advocate for equity, accessibility, and dignity for all.

With rising cases of cyberbullying, exposure to harmful content, gaming addiction and digital-age mental health challenges, this proposal represents an important moment for the country as it considers how best to protect its youth. Dr Prem will draw on years of clinical work with young people across the region to explore the psychological risks, the global move towards stronger online safeguards, and the implications for families, educators and policymakers.

Every 1st of December, weโ€™re reminded: awareness saves lives. โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน

World AIDS Day is a global call to stand with those living with HIV and honour lives lost to AIDS-related illnesses. Itโ€™s also a moment to confront stigma, because silence and misinformation still remain some of the biggest barriers to testing, treatment, and care.

Today, advances in medicine mean that people living with HIV can live long, healthy lives. But prevention and compassion must go hand in hand. By fostering understanding, encouraging regular health screenings, and normalizing conversations about s*xual health, we move closer to a world free of discrimination and fear.

This World AIDS Day, letโ€™s break the stigma and choose empathy.
๐Ÿฉธ Get tested. ๐Ÿ’ฌ Stay informed. โค๏ธ Stand together.
